Info: My PAL VHS Archive Collection
Time
Forgive me for asking what may be a stupid question, but you owned all these 30-odd tapes? Wow. I have the trilogies on tape as well, but only the '97 fullscreen set, the '97 widescreen set and the '95 fullscreen set. I meant to sell the '95 fullscreen set on ebay, and I did for about AU$40, but I sent the '95 widescreen tapes by accident, much to my dismay. I had intended to sell them later on for about AU$100 as that was what they were going for at the time.

Anyway... I just wanted to ask, do you still have all of these tapes? Perhaps you could offer up some hi-res scans of the rarer covers, such as the 1994 fullscreen ROTJ that oojason mentioned. Pretty please?

Also, I think my local video shop may have the 1986 trilogy VHS. I don't know why they would have such an old set, but I do not see the versions that they have in that long list of covers you posted. Do you have any pics of the 1986 tapes and maybe I could check for you?

Star Wars DVD Covers

A COVER REQUEST:
When I purchased my Revenge of the Sith DVD, I got a slipcase with it. Unfortunately it was a little damaged and by the time I'd gone back to switch it - they'd sold out of the DVDs with the slipcases. I was wondering if somebody who has them wouldn't mind knocking up a set of them. Just a set that converts scans of the limited edition slipcases to single-width amaray DVD cases. I know there must be somebody on here with all 3 slipcases. I tried scanning my ROTS one but the damage is apparent. I recommend a 600 or even 1200dpi scan, then touch it up a bit, resize to 300dpi and format it to the proper dimensions (at least this is what I was planning to do). Please post here if anybody is willing to create this particular set of covers.

fan edit: removing 'the message' from disney films?
Time
Sarcasm from the last two posts aside... It really couldn't be done, at least I don't think so. Disney films especially have the 'message' interwoven fairly tight with the plot. I think there may be a couple of films where they may be over-the-top in regards to pointing out the 'message', and they might be able to be trimmed if you want to have a go at that. The thing is that even with those films, you wouldn't be able to remove the message and all the song-and-dance numbers. The film would be severely hacked up afterwards and not make much sense. I suppose you could always take a crack at the numerous Disney sequels. They'd probably look better after a handful of edits. Then again, I am of the mind that most Disney sequels shouldn't exist.

Please don't take offense to what I've written. It's merely my opinion on what you've suggested.

Jurassic Park - 2 Disc Expanded Version DVD cover

I think ShabbyBlue's point is that having both an isolated score track, and then another that is the same bar the commentary is kind of redundant. Maybe we could see something like that on HD-DVD/BD because of the extra storage capacity. However, at the moment, DVDs usually feature an isolated score track, or an isolated score track with commentary. One or the other, not both. Still, don't get upset about it. No crime has been committed. I recall a thread on these boards where people put wishlists of features for a definitive Star Wars DVD set. Have you created any other covers?

The all about Harry Potter thread
Time
Yes, but the 'ghost mechanics' of the Star Wars universe are different to those of the Harry Potter universe. Incidentally, they don't really do all that much with the ghosts in the HP films. I forget which HP book explains why some people become ghosts rather than passing on. In any case, it would cheapen the emotional impact of Dumbledore's death to have him come back as a ghost. Sidenote: I am hoping that John Williams comes back for the 6th instalment in the film franchise, just to hear what he would do with that whole sequence musically.

Klokwerk's CBB DVD Covers Thread (3 Covers + Disc Art Available)

Well, I've acquired a slightly different version of the image used on the poster. It is not as dark and seems to show more of Hannibal's face. I would like to replace this picture also, but I'm working with what I've got. Anyway, due to the slightly different proportions of this image, it means I had to rearrange the cover a bit. I still have both versions on my PC, but I need to know which is the better of the two. The other changes are: I made the MGM logo slightly smaller. I added the newly created title on the back and also used this as a base for the front and spine.

Now, below I've put the previous preview (#3), and below that, the latest preview (#4) to show you what I mean. This is the best way to decide which is the better layout/pic combo of the two.

I have corrected the release date (year) of the film to 2001. I had accidentally left it as 2005 from Boogeyman. I also did some colorizing of that poster image. Now instead of being all red it has more of a realistic skintone and the eye has been changed to blue. For now, this is the best I can do as no other images will suffice. Boon23, I tried incorporating the pics you posted but they just didn't work out. If anybody can provide some hi-res hannibal images that they think I might be able to use, please do so.

In regards to the 'strange' things going on at the top of the back cover, that is just the old version of the poster. If you look closely you may be able to see what color the skin used to be before I changed it. The title of the film will be removed when I'm able to do so and I will add a new recreation of the film's title via a text layer using a very similar font. Anyway, here it is...
