Klokwerk's CBB DVD Covers Thread (3 Covers + Disc Art Available)
Time
New preview. I have reworked the text a little. Please give me more guidance on the text to make it better. The "Hannibalized Edition" font on this version is just a placeholder to remind me to change it when I'm able to. The picture on the back has been changed to one of the poster image's variations. I changed the coloring ever so slightly. Although the picture has changed and indeed its location has changed, I have still tried to keep the layout, what do you think?

Well boon23, thanks for the comments. The text and all other elements will receive heavy treatment before the cover is done. I'm glad I have some idea of what to do next.

Some questions for you; when you said the "HANNIBAL font is nice" I assume you mean the title on the front cover? And you don't like the use of handwriting, so that cancels out both the one at the top of the back cover and the "Hannibalized Edition" text on teh front cover, yes? I'm glad you like the teaser poster's text. The image of Hannibal will be replaced eventually, but at the moment the only image I can find in hi-res is the one from the theatrical poster and I want the CBB covers to use images that aren't that common, so we'll see what I can find.

The main thing I was looking for was comments on the layout and since you approve that's great. I will now go and rework the text a little and try and find a better image. A replacement font for the front where the handwriting is will be hard to find. For the back I'll be using the original "Hannibal" text as that is one of the features of this design. I just need to download the hi-res textless poster which I can do tomorrow.

I don't really want criticism for this one yet, as I only just started and there are many things here that I need to do but I just wanted to give you guys a sneak peek at get your opinions if this is close enough to the layout for "Doomed by the Boogeyman" to be recognised as a cover in the CBB series.

Anyway...

I think I have "Rebel Mission on Ord Mantell" which is a 'Story LP' (in mp3) but I don't have the official 'Story of ...' LPs. Just wanted to ask a quick question (which might be stupid, but anyway) you have incorporated stuff from the Audio Dramas haven't you? Not only the Audio Drama of ESB but the special feature type extras that differ from set to set.

Info & Info Wanted: Godfather 1 and 2 Chronoligical version edit project?
Time
I know everyone wants an LD transfer of this thing, but I seem to recall that in the other thread someone declared that the TV, VHS and LD versions of this thing were all slightly different. Anyway, there's someone on ebay who has an auction up: "The Godfather Saga 2 DVD Set Very Rare TV Version". Also, there are a few near-mint copies of "The Godfather Epic 1902-1959 3-VHS Set" on eBay at the moment. If either of those are worth looking into there you go.

Well, after those comments; the cover is now complete. I want to upload the Hi-Res JPG version of the cover, but none of the free image hosts will allow a 5MB image. If someone could help me out here that'd be great. I will be getting the TIFF versions to Rikter hopefully to be included with the torrents of the CBB DVDs should they ever be uploaded at MySpleen. Otherwise, I'll just upload a torrent myself when all of them are done, containing the TIFF versions and the JPG versions.

It looked odd to have the door as the same shade of blue as the rest of the cover, so I changed it a little. What does everyone think of the door's color now? I added some background behind the door, as what used to be there was messy and cut-n-paste. I rearranged the symbols once more (just the Screen Gems and the text) and now I do think it is finally finished. Here are previews in 2D and 3D, once I get approval I shall start work on another CBB Edit cover...

Info & Help Wanted: 'Star Wars: Clone Wars' TV versions (2003 animated series)

Well, Hansolo77 also did a Season 2 DVD. I think his 2 DVDs are exactly what you're trying to achieve here - except that his was spread across 2 different DVDs (one for each season). The major difference is that you will be splicing the broadcast captures with DVD footage to get the highest possible quality, yes?

Well, the Senator and Ghost House Pictures logos were hard to find in decent quality (eps, psd, font, etc). So I decided merely to add the Screen Gems logo. I resized the logos a bit and did some other minor stuff. I think this is the final version. I know people will say I should have the other company logos on there, but it's really hard to get them and I hate dealing with strings of symbols/logos. It's a fanmade edit, it's not that big of a deal, no? Let me hear what you think. There's kind of the irony in just having the DVD distributor there as it is a fanmade DVD. I need to make any final adjustments after hearing you guys once more and then I can start on the other CBB edits. Anyway, here it is:

Ah okay. I had a funny feeling that there weren't three different languages on Boogeyman. I'll upload another preview soon with what I hope will be the last lot of changes. However, I need to know two things: How many chapter stops does this movie have? Also, boon23 says that the middle logo is the one used (it is slightly different), PSYCHO_DAYV says that the top one is used. Which one is the one that's used?

I have changed the symbols around a bit. I think listing the audio languages available in that space would be a little redundant due to the specs near the top of the back cover. However, adding the logo for the company is a good idea. I just need to know which LGF logo is used for the DVDs. I have found 3, if it's not one of those I'd need someone to supply me with the LGF logo. Anywho, I revised the paragraphs about the film and made some other minor textual edits. Now, since the last lot of changes I haven't altered the spine or the front cover at all, so I decided to upload the back cover, with the 3 LGF logos with a slightly bigger resolution. Now, I need comments on the text on the back cover, the symbols, and which LGF logo to use (top, middle, bottom). Thanks for helping me out everyone.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that I changed the color of some text from white to blue to help break it up a bit more. That's the - "Boogeyman" Directed by Stephen Kay, 2005 - bit of text. Should I keep it blue (which matched "The Edit" and "Special Features")?

EDIT: Preview #5 Removed. "Doomed by the Boogeyman" cover has been finished. See the first post in this thread.
