*** The Official DigitalFreakNYC Release Thread*** (SW, Indy + Others!)
Time
I'm perplexed by you posting in DFNYC's thread about this? (No offense DF)

However, may I direct you to this thread: Howard the Duck: Special Edition.
Dark Jedi has done many HD2DVD conversions and will soon be releasing Howard the Duck (possibly with a bunch of DVD-ROM extras).

It's sitting right there on the first page of the forum's threads, you might do better to take a look around or search next time you're looking for something. Welcome to the forums, anyhow.

The legendary "Starkiller Ranch" Thread
Time
Discussion like this makes me wish that Georgie-boy planned out the whole prequel trilogy at least a basic outline for each episode, before starting to make them.

Anyway, it's up to the fans to salvage the films isn't it? That's what this thread is all about!

So, the dialogue exchange ideas sound great and once perfected and attempted should create more of an emotional impact. That's good.

The Grievous=Maul idea made me laugh when I first read it so long ago. However, recently I've been thinking about it and it does make sense (if we can pull it off). Obi-Wan would want to follow him to Utapau because he killed his master. Then I realized I wasn't sure about the specifics of this plan. Would the Jedi know that Grievous is Maul? Or would that be revealed later on? Then of course the major issue is Grievous' death where he gets shot by a blaster and spouts fire from his face. While very odd it also doesn't seem like much of a climax for a character that Obi-Wan should feel hatred for (even though he's not supposed to hate, being a Jedi and all).

I wish it were possible to have some other death scene for Grievous. After fighting for a while Obi-Wan could pry open his chestplate (as he does in the movie? It's been a while since I watched Episode III). Then as Grievous furiously tries to slice and dice him, Obi-Wan could somehow find himself in a vantage point from which he could stab Grievous in the heart. But again.... beyond the realms of possibility for us, isn't it?...... Let's give Ray Park a call, see if he'd be willing to let us film a few scenes with him.

THE MAKING OF JEDI MONSTERS - CHICON IV - 11 Minute Video
Time
We all know that while we may get more than the supplementals contained in the 2004 DVD boxset, the 30th Anniversary Collection will most likely be a great letdown for many of us. There's just so much great stuff from way back and Lucasfilm couldn't even pack it all in to a boxset if they wanted to. I'd like to see some uber collection with as much supplemental material (vintage and recent) as possible, but the companies don't care about these films as much as we do unfortunately.

However, if by some strange twist of fate there ends up being something like a 24-disc set with all the bells and whistles they can find.... well, I'll be ecstatic and may just eat my hat.

crawl generator (link)
Time
Of the 3 or 4 people who have offered to output crawls for us non-mac users, who would be able to render out a 'Fox' & 'Lucasfilm' logo for me then render the image sequence as a video and upload to Rapishare or some such for me to download? I'd want to get the output in DVD quality - but I don't want to stuff around with posting discs. Please anyone that can help me out, email me at klokwerk(at)gmail[dot]com. Thank you in advance.

EDIT: I've received an offer from someone. Thanks again!

Superman III: The Junkyard Cut (* unfinished project? *)
Time
It's a clever idea, but the execution isn't perfect yet. The beginning of the shots in the cave with Webster saying "He's here!" seems a little out-of-place and too panicked in the new context. If you could somehow edit the sound there so that he just says "here!" or better yet, use some of his calmer dialog from elsewhere in the film - that'd be great. The edit would seem less jarring then and perhaps Webster would seem more calculating and in control.

How to extract BTM lost scenes?

Or, I could just extract the entire discs to their files, (i.e. unpack the bundle files into the 4000 or so actual files that are on the discs) and then other people could go about decoding the video files, jpegs etc. using the tools that are already out there.
Laserman, if you did that, assuming it isn't too much hassle for you, then I'm sure some ambitious person would take on a 'decoding' project.
