DVD Decryptor + Womble DVD Video Wizard = bad audio?
Time
To be fair, I ripped some audio tracks today and was frustrated by that niggling radio button process. I had to go through 10 different tracks and select the 'demux' option for all of them as opposed to what would be ideal: shift-select the 10 tracks and then click a 'demux' radio button. It's an area I always thought could be improved. But they've stopped updated Decrypter haven't they (due to all the legal stuff)?

Okay, well just let me know if you need it Sluggo. With the ED team's permission (via you?) I'd like to make this cover available anyway when it's done so that people who want to save space can use this single-width cover. However, if they don't want me to, or if they plan on making something similar, then I'll just keep it for personal use.

Would still really love to have a copy of the Editdroid logo.

Sluggo's Star Wars Trailer Contest *Next contest begins April 25th*
Time
It's been stated right here in this thread where the music came from.

Clint Mansell scored the music for the film 'Requiem for a Dream'. Peter Jackson loved the music so much that he asked Mansell to score a slightly punchier version of the title theme so that he could use it for an epic LOTR TTT trailer. The new piece is commonly referred to as 'Requiem for a Tower'.

Actually, does anybody know if this piece is commercially available? I have the MP3 like most others... but surely it would be on CD somewhere?

"The Clones Revealed" (Released)

daveytod, I'm a bit too headachey right now to write an indepth review of the TCR WIP - but I must say that you've done a great job. It's better than TSR. The stuttering is the only real nagging thing to me. However, there really isn't any way around that (as you said you need to slow down the footage).

I don't know if I'll have enough free time in the next few weeks, but email me at klokwerk*at*gmail[dot]com and tell me your ideas about the DVD and its menus. I'd like to help out with that if possible. Of course I can do a custom cover for you too if you have ideas for that as well.

droidguy, I think you're right. While a text commentary would be cool, I don't think we'd find enough trivia and the like. Perhaps we could still dig some stuff up and include a small collection of text stills with facts about the film (a la the 'Production Notes' on early DVDs).

marioxb, I'd like to know what state your soundtrack is in as my copy is a very scratched-up 2nd hand one from ebay. Anything you can find would be great.

crazyrabbits, I don't think I ever got your email, could you please send it through to klokwerk[at]gmail{dot}com

On an unrelated note: I really wish we could upload our own avatars! 3 of us in here have the same one. I know I could change to one of the other standard forum ones but then it would be a similar problem just with a different batch of users. Arggh.

Star Wars Unified DVD Covers Project

I started doing something in the same vain (unifying cover template)... but it was a far simpler thing and I was only going to do it for a few covers. You are far more ambitious. These look nice. Keep it up.

P.S. Welcome to the forum. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Plus you'll find we love new customs covers around here. As for the other thread... it's kind of old and cluttered. Plus, I started a new thread for my 'template' covers and I reckon this is fine here in its own thread.

The "EditDroid" Trilogy DVD Info and Feedback Thread (Released)

Well, here's the preview image for my cover as it stands. I'd like to get a hi-res version of the editdroid logo, that artwork used on the back and confirmation of what font they used on the back for the content descriptions (the one in white - mine is a near perfect match though). It's just that I remember the ED people made a big deal about cover art last time (when their film transfers were finally distributed via torrents) that they wanted their high-quality correct-color TIFF files out there to replace someone else's JPG conversions. I don't want the ED people to have problems with my recreation of their cover. I'm only doing this because it seems as though the official cover files aren't available to us?

In any case...
http://www.users.on.net/~paulgaliazzo/ed_sf_preview.jpg

I did it in a single-width case as you can see. I just figure that's what we all use these days. I will make the fat-spine version as well once I have finished this one. Don't worry about the spine ID at the bottom that'll go. The editdroid logo will be on the final version, I'm just trying to make the most of the low-res scan version.

So... anyone got that image?

My reconstruction's practically done. I just need the image used on the back. What's shitting me is that I know that I have it somewhere! I just looked through my 3 main archives of Star Wars images and couldn't find it. Does anybody have the hi-res version? I think it was even posted at this forum once. Coov might have it as he used it for a cover... but he hasn't been around lately I don't think.

Can anyone help me out? I tried to color-correct the image and whatnot and it looks okay but I think it would be better to use the hi-res image that I know is floating around here somewhere.

Idea: Super Mario Bros. The Movie - Special Features?
Time
I've just checked on ebay and managed to find a few copies of the score (it's one of those typical promo/'bootleg' scores as there was never an official release). It shares its disc with another Alan Silvestri score from the film 'No Mercy'. The UK/German auctions are ridiculously expensive, however there is a US auction that is much cheaper. I don't think I can afford this at the moment unfortunately. Does anybody have this particular CD? I know a lot of people collect rare/preservation/fanedit DVDs, but are there any other score collectors here? I'm hoping I can get a FLAC copy of this disc.

Well, I'm hoping this DVD is widescreen too. In fact, there's a DVD in Holland that is 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen. There are 2 sound options: 2.0 and 5.1 plus the trailer is included. I really hope this UK DVD is basically the same disc. It'd be easier for me to buy a UK DVD then to track down the Holland DVD.

So, I know a lot of people are reading this thread and not replying (lurkers?). I just want to ask again; are there any comic adaptations or other material for this film? Does anyone have the previously mentioned 'making of' and music video? Please, either post in this thread or let me know at klokwerk(at)gmail[dot]com

Hey there. I read over on DVDActive that the UK are getting a barebones re-release of this cheesy old film. Apparently the trailer is included but nothing else. Someone in the comments section mentioned that there was a making of and a music video. My question is … does anybody have either of these in watchable quality? Is there anything else tied-in to the film? It’s just I know I’m going to track down this ridiculous movie as I remember watching it several times. I’d like to be able to burn some extras to go with it is all.

DJ I don't have any of these discs yet and will eventually track them down. However, I wanted to pop in and say that you're doing great work. I know it's a lot of work converting HD to DVD and I commend you on getting some great titles out there. And even the ones that aren't great have great nostalgia factor for many of us. Love the cover artwork that Cassidy keeps making too. Keep up the great work the both of you.
