Harmy's STAR WARS Despecialized Edition HD - V2.7 - MKV (Released)
Time

French audio track most of the time, because it's the version I discovered as a child 20 years ago, but sometimes I watch it in 5.1 because it has the best sound to me, and because I hate Vader's French voice in this movie. I wouldn't have minded a new voice for him as a change, ideally hiring Georges Aminel (Vader's voice in French versions of ESB and ROTJ) again, but he's dead now.

Hey Harmy,

Great job with your sources featurette! I really loved seeing how you combined the disparate pieces to make a whole greater than the sum of its parts. The only thing I'd suggest is that you remember to credit one more very important person: you. You mention how one part of the frame was rotoscoped in via a custom mask, etc. but you never tell the audience that you created the mask, or that you worked frame-by-frame to reincorporate it.  We all know you did, but you deserve to take a little bow, methinks! =)

Just my two cents. Keep up the great work, as always! =)

I agree. While doing the translation, I was about to translate some sentences using "we". But I thought "HE did that, by himself. We almost did nothing compared to him". The thing is the featurette doesn't point that out precisely.

I meant subtitles for the documentary, not the movie :-)

Oh my God! And I was saying that just after considering doing the French subs for the documentary myself. Dafuq, brain? :p

Sorry, I have personal problems, and as I have no activity planned until at least september, I might try doing the subs for the French-speaking audience.

But as Yoda says, "Do, or do not, there is no try".  I just have to find a Mac program, as the last time I did this I was still using Windows.

Hum, to be fair, you'll have to purchase the Blu-rays of at least the original trilogy as it is required by Harmy to download his work because his main source are the Blu-rays. You might not like it, but that's the condition that gives a (very little) sense of legality to Harmy's project. I, myself bought a lot of Star Wars discs since I discovered this project (the '06 DVDs that I didn't own and the Blu-rays of the Complete Saga).

Coming soon!!!

In a vein similar to Harmy's restorations I have restored the film posters to the best of my abilities. They may not be 100% accurate, but they are very pleasing to the eye. I did my own take of the Definitive laser disc box set, though it is still quite different. I'm almost done with the discs, so they will be uploaded sometime in the next few days or so.

All art and images are pre 1997 material to make things more legit. The only images on the back that are not from Harmy's preservation are promotional images and what not.

It is a shame that ESF only promised that good looking "LD" box and never delivered the result ...

I started working retail after I said that. I'm gonna take another wack at it. I should still have the files. My computer is coughing up dust, but I should still be able to get something.

Well, I didn't have the finished files, but luckily, I had to original project files. So I finished them up along with the box. I lost the directions to how to make the box, but it's pretty self explanatory.

Here is the link. It's a large size, but they are large files.

Aaaaaand, it's dead again :p If you could please just post the box itself.

Thanks in advance.
