here jimbo goes again shooting down others opinions cuz he thinks he's right...
do you think acting like the owner of this site and telling people how they're wrong is going to make people want to stay?

listen jimbo we all know you only use AOTC for tossing off material cuz of Nat Portman...
you've only mentioned her in your last three posts to nausiem...
i think she better file a restraining order against you bud...

DJR i agree that many people hated the ewoks but i also am one of the minority who enjoyed them....

jar jar on the other hand...
lol

Listen I have never seen Natalie Portman in person but I was just defending her when people critieze her. I don't just like her because of her looks I think that girl can act very well. Also she is not the only reason I love Attack of the Clones. In fact she is a very small part. Can't think of a movie that combines kick ass action, effects, and a great story better then Attack of the Clones.

Thats false. I said Attack of the Clones was the best movie ever. I like The Empire Strikes Back and A New Hope alot more then The Phantom Menace. I also don't have a problem with the original versions just like The Special Editions more and don't care about the release of versions I consider inferior. I wouldn't mind if Lucas released them for those who like um I am just a Lucas fan and don't like him getting bad mouthed for versions I consider to be better. I also have not seen any of Casablanca and only bits of The Godfather. Attack of the Clones is the best movie I have seen. Heres how I rate the movies.

Attack of the Clones - A+
A New Hope - A
The Empire Strikes Back - A
The Phantom Menace - B
Return of the Jedi - B-

Would it be nice to have both editions on video? Not really. It would be nice to have an edition where all the SFX cliches have been fixed and the bad changes have been exercized. In short, I want to see Han shoot first and I want all the violence restored. But why on Earth would anyone want to see bad SFX in any movie?

Sure, it was great when I was 6, but I'm not 6 anymore, and if I can see good SFX vs. bad SFX, I'll take good anyday.

You guys want the "force field" under the landspeeder, transparent snowspeeders, blocking looking effects shots during the Death Star battle? Why? I don't get it. I simply don't understand why anyone would want to see crappy SFX in Star Wars when you can see better SFX.

Because that is what it comes down to. The story hasn't been changed at all, so other than Han shooting first what is your bitch specifically?

I like the way you think. While the effects of the originals wasn't bad. It was great for its time and if the Special Editions or Prequals were never made I would still love the originals. At least the first two originals. But the Special Editions were made and they were better. Why would anyone want a hole for a sarlacc or an unseen wampa. I agree with everything you said. I also don't like the Han and Greedo change but its such a small thing. I missed it when I first saw the Special Editions. But I sure as hell noticed those great effects improvements.

MORE CHANGES!!! (for the 2004 OT DVD release)
Time
It is all but official that the 2004 DVDs won't be exactly the same as the 1997 Special Editions. The digital bits has reliable sources that say this. Not just fan rumors actually industry sources. Though I doubt the changes will be to great. Like Jay said probably just more line deletion and saber work. Stuff that should have been done in 1997. There will be alot more changes coming in 2007 for the 30th aniversery Ultimate Editions.

Story was just as good, characters were just as interesting, dark feel was there, effects and action were much better, Natalie Portman is so sexy. It had all I loved about The Empire Strikes Back and more. Attack of the Clones is the greatest movie ever. If anything it had a better story. How a Republic can become an empire. How childish emotions can lead to destuction and evil. Really its all symbolic to our society. Effects were all photoreal. Action is very intense and thrilling. Did I mention how beautiful Natalie Portman is. Yeah.
