Why would the empire risk recruting a rebel. Clones would always be loyal. Droids can be reprogrammed and recruits can be unloyal. The Empire uses clones because they are genetically loyal. It makes sense to me.

Never been charged $14. They usually charge $5.50 at my theater if you go at the correct time. Its still overpriced. I prefer the cheap theater for only $1.75. Sure you have to wait but it has cheaper price and no commercials. Thats right not only are they raising the price but are adding commercials not movie previews commercials.

The hologram image is played by a different actor though. Now its the same actor as Return of the Jedi.

I would mind something like "2004 edition" but he can not lable them Special Editions. I honestly have no problem. If people are to stupid as to not research a product before they buy it then they deserve to loose there money.

Like The Last Temptation of Christ, the only Jesus movie with a smart plot twist.

While the Passion focus on the wrong things it is far better then The Last Temptation was. That movie was incredibly blasphamous and offensive. King of Kings is my favorite Jesus movie.

Yeah but it isn't happening. Lucas would never release the originals first or ever for that matter. The only chance of it is if the DVDs don't sell. But there selling.

They are not recrutes they are clones. They all look alike in terms of size and build. George has stated that the original trilogy stormtroopers are clones several times. So they have different voices. Not much different really. Maybe in the 2007 versions Lucas will make all there voices the same. It stated so on ain't it cool news.

I personally disagree. The name Special Editions was the name given to the 1997 theatrical movies. If these DVDs are not as they were in 1997 then they are not Special Editions and labling them that would be false. Labling them as originals would be more false but I think the best way is to just call them what it is. The Star Wars trilogy. These are the same movies.

I would probably be happy if Lucas were to annouce tomarrow the originals are coming to DVD. It will give people what they want. Still I prefer the Special Editions and don't really mind what Lucas is currently doing. I am a fan. I grew up with these movies. I love three of them Attack of the Clones, The Empire Strikes Back, and A New Hope and like two of them The Phantom Menace, Return of the Jedi. I guess its I am really against prequal haters not the original versions. I find that those who prefer the original versions are prequal haters and those who prefer the Special Editions are prequal likers. I am sick to death of people bashing Attack of the Clones. It is so damn great.

Actually I found the Hobbits beating orcs to be just as stupid. I really wouldn't have had any problem with the ewoks if they didn't beat the clones. The line "aren't you a little short for a stormtrooper" was always in the movie and directly implys there all the same. That was in the movie long before the prequals.

I like A New Hope just a tiny bit more then The Empire Strikes Back. They are extremly close. Both are classics. Also telling someone they should be banned is a very personal and rude insult. If you don't think that is then you have no sense of social skills.

Then there would have to be four discs for each movie. Originals, Special Editions which could be branched betweem 1997 and 2004 versions, Ultimate Editions, Special Features. I don't know how that could work.

Finally I agree I hate the rise in ticket prices. I mostly wait till they come to the cheap theater except for movies I really really want to see.

Jedi Master DJR I do very much like the fact that you choose to argue your point in an intelligent manner. Unlike some assholes on this site who choose to nag and bitch. DVDs resolution is only about 1.3x as high as laserdisc so a bootleg won't be that bad. Still there is a difference in Terminator 2 special Edition. That was done with seemless branching. This process could not be done on Star Wars without a huge loose in picture quailty to the point where it would look about as good as the bootlegs. They would have to be on separate discs. E.T is a better example. Thanks again for argueing your point intellegently though.
