WOW Someone just released ANH Fan Edit in the THEATERS!!! (aka ERAGON)

I completely understand the difference between "Borrowing" ideas and simply re-writing the exact same story. Yes Star Wars borrowed ideas and plots that have been around long before 1976 but in this case one movie is almost a mirror image of the other in terms of plot structure and characters. It's one thing to be "influenced by" and another to rip off. This isn't a case of simply "Writing to Formula" as the point that corellian77 is trying to make, there's just WAY too many similarities to the point of plagiarism.

NO KIDDING, it was called:

ERAGON!! (SPOILERS)

The movie was EXACTLY LIKE STAR WARS A NEW HOPE:

First replace “Magic” with “The Force” and “Dragon Riders” with Jedi, Replace the “Shades” with “Sith”

Now you have the plotline:

A blonde hair, blue eyed teenage farmboy Eragon (Luke Skywalker) who’s best friend leaves to pursue a more exciting life, lives with his uncle (Uncle Owen?)because his parents abandoned him. Doesn’t realize that he is “destined” to be a “Dragon Rider” (Jedi) the last and "only hope) of a dead religion with magical powers. He comes across an old man who was “once a {Dragon Rider} Jedi Knight”, teaches him the ways of magic (the force) before he is killed by the bad guys. (Obi-Wan)

Then we have the Princess (Leia?) who was part of a Rebel Alliance that has been captured by the bad guys and is being tortured. Eragon (Luke) must save her.

Next we have the King (Emporor Palpatine) who is also a Shade? (Sith) and was once Dragon Rider (Jedi) who sits back and builds an army (Storm Troopers) and makes his apprentice (Darth Vader) do most of the dirty work. The Apprentice uses dark magic (The Dark Side of the Force)

We’re even introduced to a Dark Haired guy who will help Eragon, but may possibly be a traitor (Han Solo).

I was waiting for a little green guy to teach Eragon the ways of magic but perhaps that’s in the second movie.

So take the obviously ripped off story-line, add in a dash of Lord of the Rings and a hint of the never ending story and you have Eragon!

Where is the link to compare different region dvd releases?
Time
Somewhere buried in this forum someone mentioned a website that compares the different versions of DVDs that are released in other parts of the world. It shows you what country gets what features and tells you which region has the best version. I'm trying to find that but I'm not having any luck, does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Help: looking for... Anyone have COSI Star Wars Exhibit Footage?
Time
I'm originally from Springfield about 45 mins from Columbus. I recently moved to Cincinnati though, made the 2 hr trip and didn't get to film it, Oh well, it was mostly props from the movies, most of which I'd seen from other Star Wars Conventions and exhibits, a few new items. The millenium falcon ride was an hour wait for a 4 min ride and we didn't feel like waiting in the crowd of people to go on it, so I missed that too. There was some cool stuff though, but I was a little dissapointed.

Just got back from COSI where I planned to film the Star Wars exhibit. Unfortunately the battery in my camcorder crapped out on me. This is one of the only Star Wars exibits that I’ve been to that I don’t have on film. I’ve converted everything else to DVD but now I have a piece missing.

Would like to put together a comp of all the exibit/convention stuff. I have Celebration 2 and 3 + Star Wars at the Smithsonium + Star Tours Ride and a few other odds and ends.
