ROTJ is the best Star Wars film... discuss!

For comparison. Rebel escape from Hoth is way more unreasonable than rebels destroying the shield generator on Endor. The imperials had a massive fleet blocking the planet.

I wouldn’t call 3 Stardestroyers and the Executor a massive fleet.

Even if I take your assumption of only 3 star destroyers seriously (film never confirms the number anyway), my point about TIE fighters that you ignored still remains.

Sorry, let me try again.

Dear Mr. Energizer,

Please endeavor in the future, should the mood strike you, to resist providing encouragement to the despised boob who inscribes his musings here for the mere purpose of eliciting negative comments in response.

With Gratitude,
TV’s Frink

You might not realise it but you just provided a big “encouragement to the despised boob”.

What don't you like about TESB?

  1. Rebel escape from Hoth is extremely unlikely and rather fairytale-type silly, considering imperials had a massive fleet blocking the planet.

  2. Han’s decision to pay Jabba after so much time is ridiculous. Waiting for so long would be an insult and he would end up dead whether he would bring the money or not.

But since I am biased I don’t really care too much about these.

Sure, sounding better is technically an opinion, take any number of people and play the same thing for them on cd and vinyl and they will (in my own experience anyway) say the vinyl sounds better. So at what point does that become trustworthy?

At no point. A set of the same opinion is still an opinion.

Also, you basically said that if cds were built better, they’d be better. Wow, what visionary.

I said that if the same amount of material was applied, the CDs would be better in all aspects. Now they are just better in most aspects.

That is how it is.

You’ve just given a perfect example of why nobody here likes you.

I know. Honesty is not appreciated.

Anyway, while it is true that cds store the information digitally, and that information can be copied from the cd losslessly, that doesn’t change the fact that the vinyl will sound superior in the first place.

First part of your statement is a fact (that I already stated in my post), second part is your opinion.

Possessed said:
Also cds degrade with time, vinyl degrade with play. So from a time capsule point of view, if you store the same album in both CD and vinyl form for say 50 years, at the end the vinyl will come out on top. And since the vinyl will probably have had more detail in the first place.

They both degrade due the chemical deterioration. While vinyl might be practically usable for a longer period, unlike CD/Blu-Ray, it starts to loose the original information due to chemical deterioration from day one (not much but still). Put them in space and CD/Blu-Ray wins in all aspects. Or make a CD with size/thickness of vinyl and it will outlast vinyl on Earth as well.

And go ahead and tell the audiophile community that vinyl isn’t for people who enjoy music. Lmao!

That is like “go ahead and tell hipsters that what they do is stupid”. I am not going to achieve anything.

OK there has been a Carrington style Event and almost all electrical equipment and generators have failed.

How do you play your Pet Sounds music bluray or CD?
With vinyl all you have to do is make a mechanical turntable.

Well this really has very little to do with the point I made but I will play along.

I don’t think we would be worrying about how to play our home music collection if something like that happened. As for preserving the music history in such case, CD/Blu-Ray are still by far superior. You can simply optically extract the information in the exact form as it was encoded originally. We certaly can’t say the same for vinyls.

I am sorry to be a party pooper but obsession over any particular medium is rather sad and for that kind of people music certainly isn’t in the first place. I care only about the music and I want it in the purest form possible. Storage medium is just a necessary evil. The less evil the better. In this sense, vinyls are a crappy storage medium that distort the actual music by a lot. That is how it is.

In what way I should watch a Star Wars Marathon?

I mean, if you have to include the prequels you might as well do it machete order:
Star Wars
The Empire Strikes Back
Attack of the Clones
Revenge of the Sith
Return of the Jedi

This is the WORST thing you can actually do. Putting PT in the middle of OT contaminates the OT and its feel. Especially since ESB flows into ROTJ so nicely.

What is so wrong about gay romance being in Star Wars?

Why does everything need to be so grand? What about a realistic scenario: Anakin simply had sex with some random girl. No boring romance, no reason to be mentioned and ESB plot twist is preserved for people who watch it in I-VI order.

I mean him being with Padme and him fucking a random chick are both realistic scenarios. People do get in relationships in real life…Don’t they?

That’s why I suggested an implied romance in my other post. Subtle nods here and there that indicate Anakin and Padme might be having sex or might be in a relationship. In Episode II or III Padme is preggers and Anakin is no where near that because he’s either still fighting in the Clone Wars or because he’s joined with Palpatine in destroying the Jedi Order. That way the twist isn’t outright told but the hints are there. Just like how the hints are there that the Ice Truck Killer is connected to one of the main characters in Dexter.

I don’t care about the spoiler actually. How about Padme not existing and no romance crap at all?

PT would be far better off without any romance.

There would have to be at least implied romance. Luke and Leia have to be born somehow.

Not every dot had to be connected, which Lucas completely failed to understand.

When it comes to shit like how C3P0 came into being sure I see something like how Luke and Leia being born as something that needs to be connected. Perhaps not in the way that it was done in the PT but to completely omit their existence would have been strange.
