stop getting all worked up until they actually provide real news.

The main point is that they should provide the news, whatever it might be. They have not even provided the very basic thing, such as what is the company’s policy/stance regarding theatrical versions. It is completely normal that people are getting “worked up” because of that. You cannot expect people to just wait like some losers.

That’s a tough call. I’m tempted to say TPM Anakin but then I think about how Christensen is an older actor and should have done a better job. I mean, whose fault is it that Little Annie was such a lame character? Certainly not the kid, he was like nine years old or something …then again, can Christensen even be blamed? He’s not an inherently bad actor (I don’t think, I’m not sure) so blame would fall on the writers, directors and whoever cast him for that particular role.

The character was written and directed to be a whiny unlikeable jerk. If actor delivers such character, that means he did a good job.

You know what the funniest thing about people who hate TFA is? They are almost all either OT purists who hate the PT OR huge PT fans that are pissed off people have been bashing the PT forever and are trying to get revenge for being trolled in the Internet.

If you add “people with common sense who simply dislike shitty films”, you basically get everyone who does not like TFA. Well maybe they already overlap with “OT purists who hate the PT” part.

They don’t. I believe they were site-assigned in the early days. By the time I joined you could pick your own, and I used to have lots of fun making up silly ones. I miss that function.

Don’t worry buddy.
You’ll always be the Grand Douche of Off Topics to me…

Good one. 😃

It brings back memories of just how much more annoying and childish he used to be.

I guess the answer is that Rey must have more midichlorians.

No, the answer is: TFA is shit.

Great video. At 2:33, he partially confirms what I have been saying so far. Even though Luke was supposed to be a central part of the story and plot objective, the film goes on about completely unrelated crap. Instead of Luke’s disappearance driving the plot through gradually uncovering mastery behind his past decisions and actions, the film is a random collection of rehashed elements that does nothing for the plot.

Those “rules” are what makes a movie good though. They aren’t arbitrary.

Rules? Don’t be silly. This is art, not your mom’s house.

Alderaan said:

What screenwriting rules does ESB break?

None because there are no rules. As long as things make sense and are relevant to the plot, they are fine. TFA sucks because 2/3 of the things are not relevant to the plot.

He’s a Kaleesh that was transformed into a cyborg. Pretty much the only parts that remain of his original body are his eyes, brain, and the rest of his organs.

OK. Basically another Vader with more stuff damaged/replaced. Since the lung obviously doesn’t work properly either, I would have replaced that as well.

If the lung itself is the force bearer that might be the reason to keep it.

Silly, but… well.

He’s not force sensitive, so that’s a good point. It’s clear the lung wasn’t working correctly, so they should’ve replaced it.

Why even keep the lungs if he can clearly survive in space without them?

Maybe he held his breath.

The brain still needs oxygen. He can clearly function in a vacuum for a brief period.

There should be enough oxygen in the bloodstream to operate that long. That is what “held his breath” meant.

It could be Qui-Gon Jinn?

If he never existed, maybe we might have some prequels about you know, Anakin and Ben’s friendship… like we all thought they would be.

Nah, it was not Qui-Gon Jinn’s fault at all. The friendship should have been shown in AOTC and ROTS but instead Anakin was an annoying jerk. So, Hayden-played Anakin is likely the worst character.

But if you think the PT is better made, or do something insane like give the PT a 5/10 and RO a 1/10, you’re just trolling for reactions.

TFA plot is way bigger mess than any PT plot. It is simply horrible. So ranking TFA below PT is completely natural in this respect. When you also count in the complete lack of originality in TFA, the judgement is clear.

Evidence that your repeated opinions are worthless and add nothing to the discussion: Frink isn’t even talking about TFA, he’s talking about RO (which I thought you liked).

Check his post again…

Just because he mentioned it once doesn’t mean he’s talking about it. Dat SW Guy put TFA above the PT and RO below, that’s what he’s responding to. You even cut out the part where Frink mentioned TFA. Clearly you made a mistake, I’m just shocked, I didn’t know the Truth™ made mistakes.

He said: “If you don’t like either TFA or RO, that’s fine. If you prefer to watch the PT to those two movies, ok that’s your prerogative. But if you think the PT is better made, or…”

The last part refers to what was established in the first sentence. The longer version of it would be “But if you think the PT is better made than either TFA or RO (those two movies), or…”. It is basic grammar.

But if you think the PT is better made, or do something insane like give the PT a 5/10 and RO a 1/10, you’re just trolling for reactions.

This is what you quoted, which explicitly refers to RO, which Dat SW Guy ranked below the PT, but then you talked about TFA. I don’t know how to make this clearer.

The first part of that sentence still refers to “either TFA or RO”. Just because I removed part of the quote it does not mean it did not happen. Without the entire post, the part “But if you think the PT is better made” makes no sense as it is unrelated to the second part of that sentence.

What PT plot?

Yes exactly. It was hard to imagine something could be even worse, until TFA came out.

Again, I don’t know why I bothered.

Instead of posting this question here several times, I suggest you take five minutes and ask that question yourself instead. Then make a decision whether you can ignore the fact that TFA is shit or you will continue to bother people who state that fact.
