Reusing the same shot from another Star wars film could be problematic, I mean if we have no choice left than I’m down but I think it would be better for continuity’s sake to create a new shot.
The ST is in dire need of planets that “pop”, liking your suggestions especially for Passana and Ajan Kloss.
Maybe we could add in a silhouette of Vaders Castle in that doc footage that Chase Adams used.

Great ideas man, I think an establishing shot of Kylo’s surroundings with Vaders Castle in the background somewhere would be sufficient pacing wise.
Maybe we can go for something more orange, sandy perhaps, make it feel like Korriban.
They made a big deal about this Dyad, two that make one in power, and it builds to nothing, kylo gets yeeted down a cliff to make way for Rey to take on Palpatine on her own, which make 0 narrative sense considering what they were building up. They should have battled him together
For Palpatines broadcast, I think it would neat to use it to further contextualise the events of 7 and 8 as Palpatine arranging for his return, “at last the work of generations is complete, Skywalker is dead! The Republic Destroyed! The great error has been corrected, the day of victory is at hand, the day of revenge, the day of the Sith!”

Good eye, at the moment I’m playing around with backgrounds using Coruscant compilations on Youtube , I’ll be using the original source once I hit the right one.

The film originally did open with the flashback, it sets up Leia being a jedi as well as subtly emphasising that Luke and Leia are in a way the heart of the film(which was the directors intention) , the planet they trained on is the one Rey is training on, Luke’s search for the wayfinder in the jedi books is the starting point for the crew’s journey, Leia’s involvement in her sons awakening to the light, their lightsabers in the battle against palps and last but not least their ghosts handing Rey the mantle of Skywalker.That Vader/Kylo fan film could come in to use if needed, maybe a quick flash as Kylo meditates on the helmet, we’ll see.The cantina shots in the Mandalorian will be handy to use also.
These are just concepts and ideas that I’ll be throwing around, if anyone wants to use them, feel free do so.

It’s mentioned 3 times, “I will earn your brothers saber” and “Leia’s saber”, “she surrendered her saber to me” on Achto.
All could easily be replaced/removed.
That’s fair and all kidding aside, one of the advantages of the original opening is that it prefaces a passage of time where there has been a broadcast and Kylo has been on the search for the wayfinder for a while, which works for TROS as a self contained film but in the context of the final film in the trilogy I feel like it’s kind of a slap in the face where you either go along with it by suspending your disbelief or phase out.
