The Fortress Inquisitorius from the Fallen Order game would make for a cool base for Kylo Ren and his Knights, could even be where he rebuilds his helmet (it’s also on the planet next to Mustafar)

Is it possible to add a second shuttle (with Chewie inside) that start behind Finn and moved to the right of the screen? Little smaller than the first one. So we can see on second viewing, that is starting a second shuttle and nobody see it.

Yeah it makes alot more sense to push Mustafar and palpy’s reveal to later. The pacing is so much better for it.

I thought including the transports would kinda brake the flow of the Tie sequence . I initially wanted to reverse this shot (1:19) https://youtu.be/ngElkyQ6Rhs?t=79 and cut right to the transports landing, obviously Jakku would need to be changed to Mustafar.

I think some of these ideas being thrown around are better suited to Idir’s ideas thread. Much of this discussion about bringing in the message in completly newly created scenes doesn’t seem like something Hal is planning on pursuing.

As someone with ZERO technical prowess, who am I to measure what the talented folk here can actually pull off, but hearing some of the suggestions for such monumental changes does make me question what some think can be achieved with the resources available?
I love the creative flair/imagination being demonstrated…but is it realistically attainable within the community?

if this were possible, we could include the montage of idir_hh, with kylo looking through the ship with the scene removed from TLJ, the temple ruins, and then with rotoscopes and some VFX, kylo entering the temple and finding the wayfinder…We could probably find a model of a FO Destroyer, jonh. Rotoscoping Kylo onto the Coruscant surface though, that sounds tough! Bold idea!

The info is not about Palps, it’s can be about rumors of a hidden Imperial fleet. Or whatever else. Do we ever really see any messages in Star Wars except for Leia’s original one? 😉
To me that scene has always felt like it has been there to establish Hux’s role in the film.
Opening with the secret message scene is very reminding of a James Bond opening where we see him on the end of a different mission

Anyways, I really like your mockup. During the vision sequence, I would take out Kylo’s helmet fondling and instead have the TLJ shot of him from behind on the Star Destroyer, and we don’t see his face. That way the true reveal of him for this movie is still on Mustafar.
Here’s a rough test I did a while a go for that. This version of the broadcast establishes that Palpatine orchestrated the events of the past 2 films so that the Republic would be destroyed and Luke would be out of the picture, leaving the seat of power empty for Palps to take, unopposed.

Wow great work on the dialogue, is their dialogue meant to be telepathic? looks very effective.
In this version is there a reason for why Luke has to go? In the last Jedi he dies from draining his force energy from the incredibly taxing feat on Crait, I just think him dying for no reason would kind of undercut his arc in TLJ so I’m also curious about his arc in your version of that film.
I agree with Nev. The fundamental issue that underlines this film is that the treasure is found before the heroes even go on the treasure hunt, effectively killing all mystery and tension in the film. The reveal of the fleet rising from beneath the surface should have been saved for later on in the film, as well as Kylo finding Palpatine. In my view there needs to be a restructure of the film where palpatine’s broadcast initiates a race to Exogol between The First Order and the Resistance, with Kylo getting there first.
Does Leia live in this edit? Otherwise I don’t think the flashback would work.
That’s a fabulous idea, very FX heavy though so that’s an obstacle.
I think it fits well, the camera movement is soo JJ.
In theory it might work but it’s all about how it translates on screen, music is essential to selling the idea. I do question the narrative purpose of Rey burying the sabers in the version though.
You could hide its deficiencies by playing with the lighting/colour correction.
You can have an establishing shot sequence that includes the outer shot of the Deathstar wreckage, the boat entering from below, wide shot of the inside of the wreckage, shot of the hallway with the storm trooper helmets, empty throne room shot - wide shot of Kylo standing in on the edge - enter Han Solo.
Flashbacks would be too overkill I think, at most I’d go for faint echoes from the throne room scene in ROTJ, “you already have, you where right about me…” etc.
I really like the Falcon/Broom boy combo at the end. Could it be implied that Kylo has taken a kind of pilgrimage to the ruins of the Deathstar, where his grandfather was redeemed? I think some slow wide shots of the ruins (could use some wide shots from the Rey climbing sequence) would help fix the abruptness and better establish the setting.
Would be cool to incorporate the Ties flying by Vader’s castle, that way we would be following a continuous thread.

I’ve now got 3 different versions of the movie that I’m working on as I have so many ideas but every time I watch a final cut I just come up with more. I’m losing it a bit Haha!
