C’mon guys, don’t ruin our escapism.
We’re all here to have fun.
C’mon guys, don’t ruin our escapism.
We’re all here to have fun.
It’s in my pocket.
Edit: There’s probably a ton of deleted footage/ reshoots etc but the only JJ cut that exists is what we saw on screen. It’s all part of the film making process, alot of good stuff gets axed for pacing and time.
The simpler the better 😉
I don’t know, Rey killing Leia would certainly remove any likeability that’s left for the character, on the other hand, Rey killing her parents is probably your best bet at really pushing her character towards the darkside…
A small change that would add some connective tissue would be adding the Exogol temple to the background of the vision of Kylo and his knights on the stormy rainy planet in TFA.
Of course always in motion the future is so it doesn’t have to correlate exactly with how it happens in TROS with Kylo being there on his own without his helmet.
Would be a neat call back to TLJ to have his shirt be taken by the wind in that wide shot.
😂😂
To create the illusion of distance between the ship and the castle perhaps the scenes where Finn leaves the castle and his arrival at the ship could be spaced out a little as well as the scenes of him seeing the destroyer and him arriving to inform Han.
In that scene, Rey seems to be running quite a long distance before she reaches the ship whereas the ship is right next to the castle. Perhaps a different model could be used or the ship could be rotated/reversed/recoloured?
I just found this edit I made a couple years ago, of the confrontation between Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Padme.
The sound is pretty bad, but basically:
- Changed the music under Anakin’s conversation with Padme to emphasize how dangerous he’s become.
- Anakin chokes Padme simply because he’s paranoid, and Obi-Wan only reveals himself to tell Anakin to stop.
- Rearranged Obi-Wan’s “lecture” and incorporated clips from the game to make it seem like Obi-Wan cares more.

Wow the video game dialogue works really well here, especially since they match the mouth movements.
I have to give credit to the guys at FixingDisneyStarWars for finding a way to make the duel on the deathstar fluid, and more intense by cutting one frame before each lightsaber strike: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-mdZV_CAFzY&lc=UgwAH-OEiRPKVSBW5dt4AaABAg.9BAQKlyj-HL9BAyGg8WFo4
+1
Yes it reflects her conflicted nature
Maybe they shouldn’t say anything, perhaps the scene would flow better in silence.
How so? They’re scene right after the Han scene?
I’m referring to the idea from a few pages back that had the “message” be a leaked recording of Palpatine talking to Pryde, revealing to the resistance that he has been behind everything from the beginning.
I think the idea of mixing the fortnight dialogue with the Palpatine/ Pryde discussion works the best narratively.
Ah I see, what I had in mind was what the background landscape could look like for the battle of Exogol.
I don’t know if they are in 4k but something like these could probably be used

I’d really like to make Exegol Coruscant. It ties everything together quite nicely. Palpatine’s lair being the Sith Temple beneath the Jedi Temple draws from Lucas’s ideas. I also think “Exegol was Coruscant all along” would be a fun light twist. The only obstacle is what to do with the space battle.
[1313 - Night]
Ships zip past as the camera pans up to the entrance of the surface above. A haunting rumble can be heard, the belly of the planet is raging.
[Coruscant - Day - Industrial complex]
Lightning strikes as mountains rise from the surface, but no, they are not mountains, they are STAR DESTROYERS.
That’s an interesting thought, might be worth experimenting with…
I thought Hal might be interested…?
Going back to the Achto scene, I thought Luke’s entrance needed a tad more gravitas.
A while ago I added a shot of Luke standing dramatically from the doco, all that’s missing is the Force ghost affect which shouldn’t be too hard to accomplish.

Presumably about the twin suns “it’s beautiful” “it is”
Although, while a shot LIKE that would be nice, that particular shot doesn’t particularly scream end of movie. Rey doesn’t look emotional either.
If you rearrange the shots in the cockpit scene or might work better: Falcon taking off - BB 8 in the falcon - Chewie and Rey “it is” - the crew portrait shot - Falcon jumps to lightspeed.
Hal what do you think of this arrangement of shots for the ending:
Cutting his interactions with Anakin would be quite unfortunate.
