Do you have any plans for additional changes to the dialogue other than those previously discussed?
Do you have any plans for additional changes to the dialogue other than those previously discussed?
The recolored ones you posted definitely look sharper. To my eyes, the difference is most clear in the 3rd comparison. In the 2nd photo you can definitely see the change in the lightsaber.
Out of curiosity, do you know if the 4k files will be substantially larger or somewhat close in size to the versions you already released?
RELEASED - S00E00b - Prologue: Life and Death (Ahsoka) (v2.0)
Just FYI: This prologue episode does not start until the 3:42 mark. You get a black silent screen until then.
Eddie, we are going to have to pour water on you because you are on fire!
[That will be the last corny joke of the day.]
In all seriousness, thanks for giving us more of Ahsoka. A truly great character who I hope will get her justice in the show coming up.
How much of Cyril’s mother do you plan to include in this portion of your edit?
I personally agree with his personal character development, but I felt his mother was easily the worst part of the show whose primary role appeared to diminish his character.
I hope someone with more technical expertise than me can offer some tips.
I am having issues playing the 4k file on my Hisense TV. The file plays perfectly on my phone using VLC player on a Galaxy S20+.
On my TV, through a flash drive, I tried various media players on the Google/Android TV including VLC, MX, kodi, and a few others. I played around with the codec setting on each. I even tried using the TV’s USB player directly.
For each method used, either the audio kept cutting out and/or the framerate was very shaky. I suspect my TV is not compatible, and would have to stick the 1080 MP4 file that is also a bit larger, but still a reasonable size.
N/A duplicate post
I am not 100% sure what exactly you would be looking for, but I believe there are some images in the links below that occur during the prison break and after. I hope there is something here that is helpful.
I apologize in advance if there is an excess of links below.

I think you meant to send this privately?

these shocking events…**
Looks like I made a mistake not reading carefully enough. You did address Palpatine right here. This is vague enough not to spoil anything while simultaneously a nice mysterious close to the crawl to capture the audience’s attention.
StarkillerAG: That opening crawl is very good. I think you could also try to incorporate a very brief reference to Sidious using or manipulating the Trade Federation for his own secretive plans.
In some shape or form, this movie needs to address the motivation by Sidious and what he was trying to accomplish with the forced treaty. I always wonder if that could be accomplished without the heavy use of subtitles modifying the dialogue.
This is great news.
In your Maul photo, thank you for color correcting the stars. That was noticeable to me. A solid change.
Congratulations. Your work has been a joy to watch.
I just stumbled upon this and was blown away. It uses this AI to create remarkably clear dialogue, and based on the spot-on pronunciation of the made-up words in that sample as well as some words which were clearly misread, this example was made by speaking the words to the AI and having the AI tune the voice to a specific character. If this is true, then it is a vast improvement over the FakeYou AI which failed to make the cut in my edit.
So what do you think? I’m thinking about a few choice discussions in the OT and how they could be transformed with a few edits from this AI.
I saw the demo they had on YouTube with Leonardo Dicaprio with the voices of various other famous people. It seemed okay, but someone needs to test this out instead of relying upon their very limited samples they provide.
In general, mimicking a human voice will be far more difficult than deepfaking an appearance considering the uniqueness of every voice. I am skeptical, but I hope this shows promise [and will only be used ethically].
As someone who truly enjoyed your Way of Mandalore edits, I am looking forward to this when it is eventually released.
There have already been numerous discussions and edits over how to resolve the issues with the show. What is the feasibility of the 2 meetings between Vader and Kenobi being done in the format of a dream and/or force vision? That could be a possible way to “explain” the problems with their interactions without twisting yourself into a pretzel and avoid the VFX work that creates new additional problems to resolve. I personally would not know how to fit that in without looking out of place.
In terms of your story having consistency with legends - yes please! I loved the notion of Kenobi as a hermit. That was my initial expectation for the show, but instead we saw him bouncing around the galaxy in a very sloppy manner. I would be very curious how to reconcile the semi-reclusive Obi-Wan with what we have in the show. This is something I wish was done from the very beginning. Is it possible to expand on this with the footage currently available?
I can’t open the links, it tells me I have to log in. But I’m curious to watch this. Is there another link I can use?
Try a different device. I had the same problem as you using my iPad, but I could view the clips on my Galaxy phone. Not sure why though.
No mention was made of audio changes, but were there any audio changes in V5 of your ESB edit?
Congratulations g00b!
I hope your baby does not use you as target practice while changing diapers. Best of luck with the journey of parenthood.
What changes did you make?
Which other edit(s) were used as your base?
I saw your alternative introduction to the movie, and I really liked it.
One of the biggest issues I had with this movie is that we are constantly told, but not really shown the scale of the clone wars. The audience would have no idea about the extent of the clone wars without watching the animated series. The movie should be able to stand on its own without the need to incorporate a television show.
Your approximately 30 second intro immediately gives the audience at least some indication that we are in the midst of an all out galactic war.
As you said, I hope more edits incoroporate this or some variation of it.
No rest for the weary? You went straight to V 2 without giving yourself a break. I certainly admire the work ethic.
The lower picture you posted looks like a work of art.
I have not had the opportunity to watch V.1 yet, but it looks like V.2 will have much more in store for the fans.
I’m working on an adaptation of the scene from the Vader comics where Vader finds out that Luke is his son. I’ve hired a voice actor so far, and am working on compiling footage that can realistically fit into ESB. My idea is that it’ll play out at the start of ESB, but end on Boba leaving Vader in silence. Then, either the end of ESB or the beginning of RotJ will show the scene with the flashbacks, cementing the previous reveal.
This is an excellent idea - having the comic book adaptation inserted into the movie. It makes it more clear later when Vader is talking to Sidious later on that he is deceiving him. Boba is also with an expanded role and screen time for a character that would in later movies and shows have his role expanded.
I would be hesitant using flashbacks. Flashbacks were not used thorough out the OT nor PT. Personally, I like the use of flashbacks, but it would stand out in a Star Wars movie. However, perhaps you could incorporate it in a way where it does not feel out of place. I am looking forward to what you accomplish with this.
Thank you for the work restoring deleted scenes.
Do you have any plans restoring the ones from A New Hope? Those ones would be the most challenging because the quality is extremely poor. In particular, I liked the deleted scene where Luke looks up with binoculars to see the space battle. I think that gives us a much better introduction to his character.
Hal, I want to apologize on behalf of the poster above who should be instantly banned and have his post removed.
You put in several years of hard work and care into your edits and provide numerous resources to assist others with their edits. You always come across as helpful and polite in your online interactions that I witnessed.
One thing I liked since joining this forum is the largely civil discourse when there are disagreements. I find nothing worse than posters who make threats while remaining anonymous. It is both unacceptable and cowardly.
I think we found the person to make Spaceballs Episode II.
