It could get a little ugly, but your best bet may be to mix and match her different lines. That could also get disjointed based on the tone and inflection of her voice.

Here is a line from S1, Ep. 15:

“Maybe this mission doesn’t make military sense. But Kanan is family. And we’ve all lost enough family to the Empire. So rescuing him makes sense to me. I’m not ordering you, any of you, to come along. But you need to decide now. In or out?”

You could find her mentioning Fulcrum elsewhere and get a line like this: “Fulcrum is ordering you to come along this mission. In or out?”

• In terms of personal interest, I will join the apparent unanimous agreement to continue with The Way of Mandalore.

• With regard to other edits, I agree with your premise to wait for the PixelJoker edit of Kenobi. No purpose in having to go through duplicate efforts if you already know in advance you want to incorporate portions of his work.

• Next up I would love updates to the sequel trilogy. A legends compliant version was what I always hoped these would be. I have been wanting to watch your current work prints, but other life matters kept getting in the way.

• For TPM, do you have any specific ideas? My current favorite edit based on what has been released so far was Cloak of Deception. I am aware another editor is going through VFX enhancements. I still believe there were an avalanche of good ideas in that thread that would enhance the movie. I honestly would not know where to begin on that. However, I do know that somehow Dooku needs to be introduced in that movie.

• I see you threw in Ashoka. It is far too early at this juncture to discuss an edit, but I was thinking that perhaps those live action shots (to be determined) could somehow incorporate into Revenge of the Sith. While I think it is unlikely, it would be nice to have a non-animated Ashoka fit into the movie in some form.

I personally think you should have the spreadsheet in chronological order. Having to scroll back and forth creates unnecessary confusion. The checklist you organized makes it abundantly clear what your recommendations are.

My personal preference was to watch your recommended edits and bypass the Citadel arc. However, the checklist is makes it clear that it is outside of your recommended viewing.

Is there a reason why more edits do not place Luke on Dagobah at the beginning of the movie? The opening crawl would need to be changed to indicate Luke was training along with cutting out his line about coming back to complete the training.

It seems illogical that Luke’s skills as a Jedi would improve without any additional training. I also found it hard to believe that Yoda would completely flip flop on his insistence of Luke to complete his training to all of sudden going with, “never mind everything I previously told you.”

I also find it stupefying that Luke would decide to take off while the rebel alliance is on the verge of their final battle.

Am I confused or was the latest version of Book 4 completed?

Anyway, I want to say that Book 2 was your biggest source of improvement in large part because you trimmed a bit more excess from the Boba Fett content. You also managed to make Boba appear much closer to the hardcore bounty hunter that he originally was as opposed to being a bit sad and pathetic. I really hated seeing him abused and dragged around by the sand people. That was an attrocious way to treat his character.

It hurts to say that. I was really looking forward to that show hoping it would add tremendous depth to an interesting character we saw very little of in the OT.

I will stop my brief rant there so this thread does not get sidetracked. Keep up the good work.

This is a very fascinating concept. However, I think having him face Vader may be too on the nose. Could Vader be replaced with a shadowy-hooded figure that the audience could interpret as Sidious? I am not personally sure, but I really like the idea of Anakin confronting some form of a “demon.”

Hi g00b. Is there a way to change the pitch of the voice to make it sound deeper? I hope this makes sense.

I think deeper sounding voices come across as more ominous.

This is great news that this project is revived along with your reinvigorated passion for Star Wars. In light of this edit meant to be as a prequel bridge, will there be any changes in that regard?

I have some suggestions that may or may not assist.

Some minor ideas:

• Remove the Kenobi line about not owning a droid.
• Remove the word “ancient” in the line to Vader about him practicing an “ancient” religion.
• Remove the hints of incest romance between Luke and Leia:
  .Remove Luke referring to Leia as beautiful when he sees her hologram.
  . Possibly remove her kiss on his cheek in the Death Star.
  . Remove Luke asking Han about what he thinks of Leia.

Other ideas:

• Some edits remove 3P0’s reference to a “princess” when stating there is no escape.
• For better pacing, remove the cheesy situation where 3P0 and R2 magically dodge the blasters.
• Remove the cheesy shot of Chewbacca growling at the mouse droid. This also helps with pacing.

Vader:

To boost Vader’s character in the movie, I liked an idea G&Gfan will be incorporating into his own edit. He plans to remove any suggestion of Vader’s inferiority to Tarkin. I believe the first moment is when Tarkin orders Vader to stop the force choke. The next instance would be Leia’s insult when she says Tarkin is holding Vader’s leash.

The editor G&GFan plans to add a new scene with Vader and Sidious discussing the death of Kenobi, but as of now I do not know how that looks like or if it really fits into the movie.

One way or another, I appreciate the hard work you and other editors put into this. Great work is being done here.

Thank you for posting this. Awesome stuff here. I also hope he modifies the emperor’s dialogue. Sidious telling Vader to let go of his feelings was in complete contradiction to how the Sith function.

I would also like a link for Book 2 as well.

Your Book 1 was an excellent improvement over the previous version, which was also very good in its own right. Wonderful work done here.

There is a lot of interesting edits here. I do have some brief comments:

Episode 1 -

1. In the Greedo scene, I recommend cutting out the portion with subtitles where the name Greedo is mentioned. That solves the problem of shrinking the universe. I also like it included because it gives us an early look at Anakin’s dark side.

2. It May not be much, but the Bobson Dugnutt expanded edition has a few extra seconds of the duel with Maul that you may consider adding in.

Episode 4 -

I like incorporating the Morrison voice and deleted Biggs scene.

Episode 5 -

Halo9000 used the Battlefront Morrison voice in his ESB edit. You could take a look at it to prevent duplicate efforts.

I would like a link to Book 1 when you have the opportunity.

I am also just speculating, but the content of Books 6 and 7 are to be determined based upon the current season, correct?

I do also note some of the current season will be incorporated into Book 5 unless I misread your prior posts.

I agree with WitchDR that the last picture appears as the best for what you are trying to accomplish the Reckoning title.

In between the first 2, I personally like the first one better. I like Andor looking away by himself in a confined space. It comes across as ominous with a sense of hopelessness to me. That image would be better suited if you were looking for a sense of dread.

The user Phase3 is planning to incorporate it into his ‘streamlined’ edit. He has mentioned on the fanedit forums that he was almost done with the edit. He is more active there.

I also agree that removing Kenobi’s excess hostility fits in better with most edits of the movie as well.

I almost forgot to leave a review of this.

While the other Andor edits vastly improve an already good show, I feel this one was as close to perfection as you can get.

The editor effectively and smoothly cut out everything I felt that really dragged the show down. More specifically, this comprised of cutting out nearly all the petty family squabbles. From the removal of Cyril’s mother, Senator Mothma’s bickering with her daughter and husband, and the removal of the [forgot name] imperial officer acting aggressively towards his son on Aldhani - these were all necessary to have the show move at a faster pace and also treat these characters with more respect. The family feuds diminished their characters and felt out of place for a Star Wars show as opposed to a soap opera.

My favorite part of this edit was the climactic ending. Closing with the meteor shower followed by the exhange between Lutyens and Mothma about whether he went too far was a really nice touch.

I am looking forward to episode 2 whenever it is released.

The recolored ones you posted definitely look sharper. To my eyes, the difference is most clear in the 3rd comparison. In the 2nd photo you can definitely see the change in the lightsaber.

Out of curiosity, do you know if the 4k files will be substantially larger or somewhat close in size to the versions you already released?
