Do you ever plan to do this for Rebels? I imagine that would be very popular by the time the Ahsoka show rolls around

Looking at Nev’s work on the Force Awakens deleted scenes and the Han dice scene I completely trust that he could fix anything that’s wrong. I think implementing this now and waiting for Jonh in the future is a great idea. Also how’s the Kijimi riot idea? I think that’s great and I would love to try and help with that.

I only remember seeing one hair clip, but it looked great. Maybe we should compile all the haircut footage that we have and see what exactly is wrong with it and if anyone has the ability to fix it. If we get that down then the only major thing would be the crackly saber.

What exactly is wrong with Luke’s haircut as it is right now? Would anybody else be able to fix it? I love this change! Luke’s hair is ridiculous in the theatrical version.

Yeah I hear people say that Rey’s parents need to be good so she has a reason to hate Palpatine but I think there’s plenty of reasons to hate palpatine other than that. I love Rey’s parents being awful people and getting a line of dialogue like that would bring it together really nicely. You might need an impersonator or something to get it though cause its kinda specific.

An older Hayden would be great but it would be better if Vader wasn’t like an old british guy when the mask comes off. I wonder if there’s something you could do to the face or voice to make it more like Hayden. I’ve seen a deepfake that tries it but it’s not very convincing.

I think maybe you could take from a recent interview or something since he’s a little older now which would make the aging up a little easier, you would probably just have to make his hair a little longer.

I agree that one of the best ROTJ changes would be making a Hayden ghost that isnt super creepy and is maybe a little aged up. Idk how to do it but I know it can be done because the Ascendant Hayden ghost looks great. I would love a ROTJ ghost to pair with it.

That works pretty good. Honestly I think the Rey Skywalker stuff works fine in a Rey Nobody cut because it plays into her feeling worthy of carrying on the legacy of both the Skywalker’s and the Jedi, but I could see that being used in different Rey nobody cuts.

That looks great! I would probably cut before the face morph if it can’t be fixed though.

I think when everything is done my preferred trilogy will be TFA Starlight + theatrical TLJ with some minor trims and deleted scene additions and Ascendant V2 with the Rey Palpatine storyline removed. So I personally think the best option is the Kylo tells Rey she’s gonna turn dark one, but there’s nothing stopping us from trying all of them. I think the Rey killed her parents is little bit harder to pull off but I think it can be done. I’m not as good an audio editor as some people here, but is there a list of scenes that need to be worked on for this? I could try some in premiere or something.

So here are the hangar scene options I’ve seen:

-Kylo tells Rey she will turn evil
-Rey finds out she killed her parents
-Kylo offers to kill Palpatine with Rey
-Cut the scene entirely

I think the scene is necessary to give Rey an arc for this movie, so I would try to go for the first one. It’s also the best mockup I’ve seen of this scene, but it still sounds a little off. I think once this and the force duel are done it will be easy to cut around the other stuff from there, we just have to pick one narrative and go for it.

I’ve heard that in the novelization for TFA it says that Rey “downloads” all of Kylo’s force powers during their interrogation, which is why she’s able to mind trick and stuff. Would there be any way to represent that in the movie?

There was a mockup of riot noises during Poe’s talk with Zori that I think worked well. I think that mixed with some riot VFX and some Luke graffiti or something would work great with the puppet show addition.

The exogol regrade looks pretty good. I like the Teth idea but sometimes the color bleeds into Rey. How are you gonna keep Ben alive for the ending?

That would be really cool. The only thing I would want from that is a reason for the troopers to rebel, kinda like how in the Trevorow version Finn gave a little speech so it doesn’t happen out of nowhere. But idk what that would be.

I think the killing of stormtroopers kinda invalidates that whole thing, I remember someone was trying to do stun effects for some of the stormtrooper shooting scenes but idk if it got anywhere. I think Rey killing stormtroopers playing into her embracing the dark side is a great idea, which I think Neverar did in their edit.

Also that scene works perfectly with his arc in TLJ, idk if I would want to extend that arc across the entire trilogy. But also Finn has no arc in TROS so maybe it could work

Sounds great! I can’t wait for the finished product to be done, this will definitely be my preferred version of the film.

I think a combo of TPM and AOTC, then ROTS, then Kenobi movie edit might be a solid prequel trilogy depending on what happens in the series.

Honestly I wouldn’t be mad if the line was used just like that without the saber ignition, it sounds very good. But I think the ignition works too if it can be integrated better.

I cannot wait to watch this when it’s all assembled and completed and the Rey nobody cut is out, this final scene is actually so good now! Good job everyone!!!

Yeah idk if it’s just the ignition sound that was added but it sounds much more like she’s saying am a Jedi in that clip.

Yeah I don’t hear the second ignition either. I think the added ignition is good especially if it masks something wrong with the voice clip (although it sounds perfect to me so maybe it works by itself) but I think the new ignition needs some more punch or bass or something because it’s the ultimate climactic point of the entire movie.

That’s definitely the best version yet. The am a jedi part sounds so much better. I do agree that the saber noise sounds a little funky, but it is so very close. I’m so glad it’s working out because I love this change!

How is the “I am a Jedi” line coming? Has it gotten to a finished state yet? Very excited for that one!
