I have read the help… I don’t see any other sites, and I can’t find any search function here. As far as I know, you are right, there is no project listed for this…this is why I asked in my response if anyone might be interested in doing so.

Sorry about not being around more these past few weeks guys, I’ve been suffering from stress related health issues and have been advised by my doctor to stop doing anything nonessential that is creating stress.

I seriously considered no longer creating regrades but decided to try just reducing my activity here and on other forums instead so I can focus on what I enjoy most, regrading and leave the distribution side of things to the_magicman, see how that works out. I will try to pop in every month to answer PMs and any questions in threads but I won’t be around here as regularly as I have been in the past.

I’m sorry to hear of your health issues. Your contributions to the enjoyment of films to this point has been immeasurable and you owe nobody any apologies. I for one want to thank you for your contributions to better enjoyment of films. Take whatever time you feel you need to get to a better state of health. I am sure that I speak for all those affected by your work that we hope the best for you in everything, including your health.

I’ve been hoping that he’d do THE RELIC. But alas, even though he agrees that it needs to be lightened up, he’s not going to do the project since it’s not a movie he enjoys. I can’t blame him, as he has the right to pick and choose his projects. But I can always hope for a change of mind, can’t I? 😃

Regarding the “V2 Disney’s Song Of The South [35mm Restoration]” of SOTS on myspeen, has anyone noticed that the audio is a little desynched? It uses 35mm footage with audio from the BBC HD broadcast.

Thanks for the feedback. Spiderman: Homecoming is fine, what I have found from my experience regrading is that films that were shot on digital always have a colder/flatter feel than those shot on film when all the blanket tint is removed. I think this has something to do with the way digital cameras capture colours compared to actual film stock, where the colour/image dynamic tends to feel warmer and more contrasty. That’s why I much prefer working on films that have been shot on actual film because of that warmer/more contrasty asthetic that they have, not to mention all that natural organic film grain that I love 😃

I have been taking another look at the Man of Steel blu-ray and do have to agree that this V2 regrade feels colder than I would like. I’m very pleased with V1 and I can see why I left a lot more of the yellow in. I’m actually think there could be a blanket green tint instead of a blanket yellow tint on the blu-ray. I’m encoding a new ‘gold edition’ of Man of Steel where I have taken this different approach of removing the blanket green tint, then everybody will be able to choose which of the three versions they prefer, V1, V2 or the ‘gold edition’.

Suggestion please… When time comes for the “Gold” edition, can you please post screen shots comparisons of all of the available versions together so that each person can decide for themselves?

Thank you so much for your efforts… What’s the difference between this release and the V1 that you did previously?

It adds some scenes that are strictly a) nothing but Mandarin and add little if any to the story, and b) is an OBVIOUS used for blatant product placements.

OK…I know that this is universally hated, but I was hoping that someone could put together the Chinese edition of Iron Man 3. Hopefully, English subtitles can be added for the spoken Mandarin/Chinese language. I’ve done a little searching, and I have come across at least the English words that could be used for the Chinese translation (unfortunately not in subtitle format, but it’s at least a start.)

Anyone have access to the Chinese Blu Ray to get this started and be willing to spend a little time finding or creating a subtitle for the Chinese parts?

Can someone who has the skills to REGRADE and LIGHTEN/COLOR CORRECT the 35mm edition do so? It’s rather dark version.

Actually, not long before you posted that, I was able to confirm that what was reported the Director’s Cut/Extended Version was indeed NOT what was originally reported…
