I'm also interested, I love that movie!
I'm also interested, I love that movie!
After checking out many of the fanedits and other projects, I keep coming back to theatrical edits as me personal favorite. Probably nostalgia...
I'm about 3/4 of the way through the mkv of this and it is fantastic so far, the movie is just the way I remember it. Thanks for all the work you put into it. I think I will also be interested in the DVD-9 when it becomes available, less compression is always a plus :)
I would love a link to the mkv please! Can't wait to watch this version!!
The links to the FLAC versions seem to be gone. Have they moved some place else or am I just too late? :-(
I just got done watching the first half of this, and I have to say it looks fantastic compared to the old 8-track cam :) (or whatever piece of crap) I had before. It's sharper and the colors are better.
The only issue I had was some stickiness getting the menus to work properly in VLC (on windows). The times of things seemed odd (the warning started at 15 seconds and seemed to repeat), it was difficult to get to the main menu, and scene selection seemed to just take me back to the beginning).
This could just be because I have an old version of VLC installed, I will try upgrading it before I finish and see if it works any better. (Not complaining or anything, just reporting.)
Thanks again for doing this!
Awesome work, thanks very much guys!
Queued up, I can't wait to watch this sucker! This is one of my all time favorites, thanks for all the hard work put into this project!

Unfortunately this work is over for me now.
Does this mean that version 2 is now your ideal version? Or are you waiting to get more feedbacks before continuing with the OE (letting it rest for a bit)?
Personally, I would hate to see this project abandoned, and have very much enjoyed listening to the other preservations. Though I'm not very technically proficient with audio and have a limited listening environment they sound amazing to me.
I just got around to listening to these (after several computer rebuilds). They sound fantastic! Just, wow! Thanks so much for all your hard work.
PS- Looking forward to the Optimum Edition v3 in 2010 of ESB
