1. You refer to the original Star Wars as “Star Wars” and not “A New Hope” 2. You’ve seen each OT film at least 10 times. 3. You can play the entire movies in your head and have most if not all the lines memorized 4. You have seen the Holiday Special 5.You own a laserdisc or dvd transfer version of the O-OT.
7. You rarely, if ever refer to SW, Empire and Jedi by their episode numbers, but you do so with the prequels. 8. You blame any and all plotholes on the prequels and NOT on the original films 9. You think the special effects from the O-OT are much more believable than the cgi stuff from the special editions and prequels. 10. You’ve cringed at three or more special edition changes while watching the movies.
12. Han shot first, end of story. 13. You hate most or all of the OT changes, but wouldn’t mind seeing changes made to the prequel trilogy 14. You know what O-OT, OT, PT and ILM stand for. 15. You prefer puppet Yoda to CGI Yoda. 16. You hate George Lucas. 17. When watching the updated versions, you can point out every tiny minsicule change that was made. 18. You wish the prequels looked and felt more like the OT. 19. You would pay over $20 (per film) to see the O-OT on the big screen. 20. You think the cgi changes made to the O-OT did little or nothing to enhance the films. 21. You hate Hayden as the ghost and want Sebastian Shaw there
"my" 22. you 've made your own soundtrack for the OT by switching "jedi rocks" and "victory celebration/end title" by "lapti nek" and "ewok celebration and finale"
"my" 23. you've made cd covers for your soundtracks with the original posters art (no SE stuff !)
Dark Forces, Jedi Knight, X Wing Alliance, Star Wars 32X (the upgrade system that you pluged into the Sega genesis or megadrive if you are from europe) shadows of the empire and rogue squadron for N64, the star wars arcade game by sega....
the thing that i liked 10 years ago, is that everything related SW was cool and top quality (the role playing games, dark forces, jedi knight, x wing alliance, the art of SW books....); there was only 3 movies in one form, the products were rare but cool (well maybe except for the SW figures on steroids!), when you met someone who was a SW fan it was like some kind of brotherhood: "you like SW? you're cool!" now it's more like: "you like SW? even the PT?...."
favorite sound effect? wow!!! the OT is so full of cool sounds effects...
_TIE fighters, very effectuve and menacing effect. _Vader's breathing, probably the most quoted sound effect in the history of movies. _lightsabers, the 2nd most quoted..... _R2... dialogue with sound effects...great!
i also like few others: _imperial shuttle, very cool _the mecanic sounds of the droids _the carbon freezing chamber's "pliers"...i love when the sound goes "aaawwwoooaaaaahh..."
1/the ghost change in ROTJ (the final insult!) 1'/greedo shoot first (couldn't believe it the first time!) 2/"jedi rocks" in ROTJ (lapti nek rules ! ) 3/the new emperor in ESB 4/removing of "yub nub" at the end of ROTJ 5/the new wampa scenes...kills the suspense! 6/vader's shuttle scene in ESB... (breaks the dynamic of the scene...plus use of stock shots!) 7/CGI sarlaac (WTF?!) 8/CGI droids in Mos Eisley (soooooo! out of place!) 9/the jawa gag in mos Eisley 10/naboo shot a the end of ROTJ etc....

some stupid stuff, like: "you like the OT because you don't need a brain to understand it","the story is better in the prelogy", the acting is better in the prelogy", etc...that kind of stuff...
