Hayden chases fan!!!
Time
Though the situation IS amusing I tend to think that no celebrity should be 'chasing down' anyone in this regard. Ignore them, mock them maybe or whatever but the 'bad boy' crap should get him fired from whatever job he's working on. People who choose a occupation that puts them in the public spotlight need to be able to control themselves better.

Now if Hayden would have chased the guy with his elbows tucked closely to his torso but the rest of his arms mincing wildly and yelling a girly "Nnnnoooooooooooooo!!!!!".... THAT would have been worth seeing.

Nope... heh heh. And YES, I think this actress is gorgeous! This is the girl who played the character of Fleur Delacour in 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire'. She's French and her name is Clémence Poésy. Way, way pretty!! And don't worry- she was born in '82.

Yeah c'mon folks... I just found this and I've been away from the forums for awhile but Rik has probably helped out more people here and at MySpleen than anyone I've met online. My donation was just sent. Ring the bell- spread the word!!!

PLUS if you need MORE inspiration, check out the details on his young Jedi and her situation here:

Problem with me, Vegas or my computer?
Time
Hey bingy-

I know you've been trying to catch up with me but greencapt, like real life, can be elusive...

Just kidding- end of year work stuff is kicking my butt.

Anyhow....Are you trying to *play* you're project through Vegas? (IE the preview window)? If SO then the problem is probably just your computer- watching previews of feature-length projects, especially ones with lots of cuts, etc tend to boooooooogggg down the processor and RAM. Don't get me wrong- I love that software but unless you have Bruce Wayne's computer set-up than you're better off just picking a section of the film (maybe a 10 minute block) and rendering it so you can preview a bit at a time. Or just set the whole project to render over night, watch it and take good notes, and go back to the project. Hope this starts to help.

Info & Help Wanted: Article on Fan Edits

I don't think the desire is created by Fan Editors though. I could be gravely mistaken, but I get the feeling Greencapt isn't planning on a fan edit of Batman Begins. De-Assified grew out of the need to make a horrendous film watchable. Partly out of the "can I do this" and partly out of the "mankind deserves better after the torture of the official release.

Greencapt, am I putting words in your mouth, or is this fairly legit?

LOL- No, that's *entirely* legit. I was originally content to let 'sleeping turds lie' or something to that effect. A good friend insisted that there was a watchable film in there somewhere.... and after forcing myself to sit and watch it again the editor in me said 'y'know he might be on to something afterall!' And no- no edit of 'Begins' in the works. I'm not the sort that needs to 'touch' something to get attention and make it my own (though a couple of drunken nights in my past have caused me to touch somethings that *weren't* my own, but that's another story ).

I see it akin to my views on Hollywood re-making films- if you can remake a crappy film and do it *better* then more power to you. But remaking 'classic' films just so you can cash in on the name is just being a whore. No matter how good Jackson's 'King Kong' may turn out to be I still have heartfelt doubts about the NEED for it.

Hi.

My name is GreenCapt and I'm a 'real life' addict.

LOL.

OK, ok.... you see for awhile I was... *gasp*... seeing another forum behind your backs!!! Yes, I admit it!!! Not only am I a movie geek but also a Halloween geek (the holiday, not the films, though I like the films too) so come October I spent my online free time at http://halloweenforum.com/. That and crazy work crap and crazy wife being pregnant with first child crap. But I babble!!!

I've got a LOT to catch up on here... I'll be jumping in more soon.

For Sale: 'Flash Gordon' (1980) DVD on eBay
Time

Hi gang-

I know I’ve been a stranger lately but life has really been kicking my rear these past couple of months. Sorry to anyone who I haven’t been getting back with- I’m getting there slowly but surely (and don’t call me Shirley!).

Part of life as I know it has been trying to get rid of stuff to make way for our upcoming new addition. I’ve been combing through my DVD collection and will be letting go several titles. My plan is this: Aside from this one disc listed here that I put on eBay, I’m going to post a list of ‘direct for sale’ DVDs here at the forums first, giving you guys- my online family- first dibs. Then I’ll probably eBay them off in a big lot or something.

Anyhow, the one I did put on eBay was my ‘Flash Gordon’ DVD. Its one of my faves but in this case I bought the UK PAL silver anniversary disc that recently came out.

The Official Greencapt 'Batman & Robin: De-Assified' Edit thread (Released)
Time
WOW- I *totally* haven't posted anything in quite some time! Boy is my face red!!!

The reason why isn't that I've been deeply involved in some special new edit- no, indeed the reason has been that Mrs. Greencapt is nearing the fourth month of pregnancy with our first child! And I thought EDITING could be a chore!!! Sheesh!

Thank you again everyone who has posted reviews. As of this writing there have been over 700 downloads from MySpleen thanks to Rik- I'm happy that so many people could get a chance to see it!

Now for some general answers to questions that people have asked me and my lack of being online has caused me to neglect:

Binky13: From the DVD VIDEO_TS folder I use VOBEdit to zip them all together into one big mpg file and then use TMPEnc to convert to avi for editing. As no software I can find ever gets me all the results I want I tend to use little snippets here and there. Yes, this hogs computer space but hey- I'm a hog!

coconuts86: Thanks for the great comments! Whenever Ver. 2.0 comes out I will be torn about the Alfred stuff. I could never use it all, but I will sit back, rewatch the original and try to view it in a different light. I guess that kind of goes for everything you mentioned really, but then again I usually end up going over things until my head explodes. And where would *that* get me?
Also, about which software it depends on how elaborate of a DVD you want. There's lots of options. The software I used for this edit was:
-DVD Decryptor
-VOBEdit
-TMGEnc
-Sony Screenblast Movie Studio
-CoolEdit 2000 (audio)
-DVD Lab Pro
-Photoshop

darksir: I didn't make a label myself, but I too am curious and would like to see if anyone else has!

Phlibbit: I do all my DVD cover creation and printing in good ole Photoshop, but I'm sure there's other alternatives out there.

MagnoliaFan: LOL- I plan on doing at least a 'gag reel' along those lines. Wait a sec- 'gag' reel?!?!? Ewww.... Kidding aside, have you had a chance to check out the edit yet?

Only way to explain it.

I was a Pong addict too, which led to many, MANY long battles of the addicting 2600 game 'Warlord'.

Neilneil and everyone... sorry again for my spotty responses as of late. Big stuff going on in greencapt-land and urelated to editing regretfully. But its all good.

I installed Limewire on a trial basis and have it running now. It won't be on forever because work has me taking my computer from home to office at various times. But, that said, if all is installed properly right now you can search for "Batman And Robin DeAssified" and should be able to find it. Hope it helps for the short term.
