I'll havce to re-watch, but two things:

1) I believe they mentioned there being around 29,000 people in the planet colony.

2) When Cloud Nine was nuked... watch it again- SEVERAL surrounding ships were caught in the blast so great numbers could have and must have been lost. Of course Gaius dropped Roz's survivor count board... of course replacing it within the year with a portrait of himself. Ass.

Warner Bros. Pictures will handle domestic distribution of the first all-CGI-animated film in the popular "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" franchise, while the Weinstein Co. will take international territories, says Variety.

Warners will release the pic on March 30, 2007. An overseas release date was not announced.

TWC and Warners jointly acquired worldwide distribution rights last fall from Imagi Services, which obtained the production and distrib rights from the Mirage Group, which in turns owns and manages the popular kids franchise. Animation vet Kevin Munroe is directing and writing. He developed the screenplay in consultation with "Turtles" comicbook co-creator Peter Laird.

'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' represents a brand that is widely recognized all around the world, and we think this new CG version will be a huge hit among audiences everywhere," said TWC co-chair Harvey Weinstein, who made the announcement with Warner Bros. Pictures prexy of distribution Dan Fellman.

Studio and TWC said the new PG-rated film will be slightly grittier than the three live-action "Turtles" movies released by New Line more than a decade ago. Combined, those three pics grossed more than $256 million at the U.S. box office.

Imagi USA prexy-CEO Thomas K. Gray, who produced two of the earlier "Turtles" films, and Galen Walker are producing. Francis Kao, Laird, Gary Richardson and Frederick Fierst are exec producers.

CGI animation is being created in Imagi's facility in Hong Kong.

Interest in the franchise enjoyed a resurgence in 2003 when the "Turtles" returned to Cartoon Network and Fox's 4Kids TV in the U.S. as well as on international channels.

Thanks Frances! And trust me- the source material was utter swill so making a 'C' from a 'F-' was a pretty daunting task. And just think about how many times I had to rewatch the original while editing...

Actually the PT, OT, OOT, GL, LFL, etc etc could possibly be a little confusing to new folks.

Anyone want to volunteer to put together a sticky dictionary of OT.Com frequently used terms? I would but some SOB stole my BVDs while I was down with OPP rendering me SOL after the SNAFU went FUBAR.

Enzo, I've had this poop-filled box on my dashboard all evening ever since I read your post and I have to say it HAS helped me avoid speed-traps!

In fact, given that is was kinda warm today, its helped me avoid my car entirely!! And I do think police would be a little wary of me with this poop-box on my dash so that might be another pro-poop-box point.

Speaking of, do you get his show 'Dinner For Five' in the UK? Great show and if you're not familiar with it its Favreau and four guests for various media having dinner and shooting the shit about basically whatever comes to mind. AND its co-produced by Favreau's good friend Peter Billingsly, aka Ralphie from 'A Christmas Story' and aka Messy Marvin! Billingsley also co-produced Zathura!
