wow, they have dvd/laserdisc combos!? I may be getting this set, but Ill probably sell the PT and 04 DVDs and wait a week for other people's opinions

Well, we have another doomed project from Lucasfilm- it will make 300 million at the box office, but ruining franchises is natural for Lucas. Plus, isnt Harrison getting too old to play Indy? He might as well cast Hayden in the role!

well it seems that george lucas is accelerating the gaps between changes for the OT
between OOT and SE: 20 years
SE and 04 DVD: 7 years
04 DVD to 30th: 3 years
based on this trend, Lucas could update the OT every 5 minutes by 2009, and I have no doubt that the OUT will not be in this boxset

Well, I think Hayden must be Lucas's boyfriend or something to get the role. A close second would be Lucas himself, and third would be Natalie Portman because I never really liked her and the PT confirmed my dislike.

I think Episode II was a little bit too modern, and Episode III was doomed before it premeired.

I think it somehow connects with World Trade center building 7 hours after 9/11. It was a reichstag fire for Bush to occupy Iraq and get oil without Saddam.

See, the whole rehasing of the OT elements into the PT have ruined the logic of SW. Especially Anakin being from Tatooine; now when Luke is placed there, it makes either the Jedi or the Empire very stupid. In one way Vader could have easily killed Obiwan and taken Luke just by discovering a person named Skywalker there. On the other hand the Empire destroyed themselves by not attacking the Jedi if they were so conspicuous in Vader's mind after the purge. But they must have some red tape on Coruscant if it takes 19 years to build one death star and then only four to build a seond death star at 10 times the cost.

I think there could be guilt factor in the possible low sales. People who were planning to buy it will fell guilty for wrecking film history by getting a poorly made DVD, because it is a vote that Lucas's actions are OK. Either way Lucas will win.

I didnt know the darth vader NOOOOOOOOOOOO! destroyed the entire credibility of SW.

On a side note, some say the Ewok battle destroys the credibility of SW.(sigh) I guess I have to not like Jedi to be a respected voice (it was better than the PT)

Mike O, Lucas will make sure this is the final release of the OOT with whatever power he has. He slipped this time to stop bootleggers. And The OOT will never be released in HD in good quality, and we probably wont see the substandard blu-rays until 2015.

Since Lucas's ego has destroyed all hope for a good release of the OOT, in life and death, and the illegetimization of all bootlegs after 9/12, Star wars will be forced to die. So, how are we going to cope with the loss of a historical trilogy for good because of its destruction by its creator and the unbelivably bad quality that will be seen for a DVD for the OOT, certainly worse than LD and VHS, but what the hell are we going to do?

I desperately want the OOT on dvd, even at this bad quality. Its really the only hope of saving the trilogy. So jump on my back saying I contributed to the Orwellian-Stalinist Holcaust sellout phase of George Lucas. I feel guilty enough already.
