More like a 2- Hayden barely conforms with the Anakin that was sketched in the OT, and switches from N'SYNC clone to serial killer in the tip of a hat. Yes, Lucas poorly directed his actors here, but using an unknown actor who has shown his talent in a very small handful of work for your main character is just poor casting.

Well, I remember people actually saying that Yoda fighting in AOTC was one of their favorite parts when it first came out. And yes, the emperor's makeup in ROTS makes him look like some lizard creature, plus I found it jarring that the emperor had a lightsaber in the first place. It's like one second, he is sitting in his chair, and then he's running around like some bigger version of Yoda! The real icing on the cake when both the emperor and Yoda were in a lightsaber duel together, which should have never happened in the first place; it simply indicates lazy writing when you have one pointless fighting scene follow another pointless fighting scene. Oh Well, ROTS was nothing more than a vanity project for Lucas...

Anyways, the whole political (republican/democrat) implications of SW was not there until Lucas started writing the script for ROTS in 2004; that's why Palpatine appears to be a shrewder version of Bush in space. Yeah, I cant even understand why the lightsabers turn from red to pink in the transition from ROTS to SW, unless you factor in technical errors.
If anyone thinks that Lucas is going to make a 3D version of his films, they are just plain crazy.

I meant to say that we would have to reconstruct the OOT from the GOUT- definitely not from any version of the SE! Plus, I am confident that the GOUT will be the last legitimate release of the OOT because Lucas has seen the sales figures of the GOUT and is certain that no one wants the OOT. Therefore, we have to accept the unacceptable and consider ourselves members of a lost cause. It a bitch to say that but Lucas put us in this situation and ruined his own creation in the pursuit of his "vision."
Well, I bet in the future the remastered OOT will be more like the reconstructed OOT, because no matter what we have to accept the GOUT, even if it was worse than LD quality.
I'll throw in my two cents: The PT is a supplement to the OT, not the main story; at least make your Anakin believable.
If Lucas ever remasters the OOT- no, that won't happen for decades.

The contradictions alone makes me think Lucas never saw the OT, so he thought he was writing the PT from nowhere. But that brings in an unrelated question: how did he make the SE if he actually never saw the OT?

The problem is that Dooku is just quickly killed off five minutes into ROTS; so what was the point of having him in AOTC the first place, establishing him as the main antagonist toward the end, and then throwing him right away in the next film? And then they add General Grevious in ROTS for no reason at all. It should have been Dooku instead of Grevious, that would have made it much more satisfying story arc.
Plus, why did Lucas even choose Hayden?? Anakin was supposed to be the lynchpin of the PT and they screwed it up by an irresponsible casting choice.

I agree; the PT was 5 hours of filler and about 30 minutes of actual stuff that Lucas apparently made the PT for.
On another note, It's kinda ironic that everyone was so hyped up about Yoda using a lightsaber- and then 3 months later we realized how ridiculous it was.
...and it's also a very confusing film. I mean, it basilcally boils down to the Republic using an enemy army of clones to fight the sepratists, which made the clone army in the first place. Plus, isn't it interesting that Plapatine is fighting against himself during the Clone wars? I think Hayden is the least of our problems in this movie.

The first SW film was never intended to be the middle of the saga! It was merely a standalone piece that got five sequels because it made $400 million in 1977. The parallels in the PT are nothing more than self-plagiarism.
He'll never let go of SW; I guess it is grafted onto his body now, and will keep going many decades and decades...
