President trump’s destructive legacy will endure for tens of millions of years. This is the only we should dwell on as it is worse than everything terrible combined times infinity infinity.

For Frevious.

Corporations are not good enough to stop the permanent destruction of all life on Earth. This just proves once again we are the “special needs person” on the world stage, and no one wants to end up like that. Humanity is creating the worst mass extinction in our planet’s history; it’s was the responsibility of our president to uphold the Paris agreement, not some loose confederation of businesses now filling the void.

There will be nothing after Trump. The GOP will control this country in a chokehold for the next 15 years. By then it will be too late; all life on Earth will be condemned to death. The universe around us will become a sterile void all because of a handful of sociopathic politicians and businessmen.

This thread needs to be kept alive.

The US is the lynchpin of the whole Paris climate agreement. Remember how the League Of Nations failed?

GF - hopefully this goes some way to allay some of your concerns on Trump pulling out of the Paris Agreement…

http://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/world/if-trump-actually-wanted-to-renegotiate-the-paris-agreement-he-just-shot-himself-in-the-foot/ar-BBBNXyK?li=BBoPWjQ

and also in the politics thread on here - and in news elsewhere some city mayors are saying they will honour the Paris agreement, and also some heads of some pretty large companies will too.

Obviously, we’ll have to wait and see to see if that is the case - but all hope is not lost…

(and you all get the chance to vote Trump out in 2020 😉)

If he allows us to vote by then. What he did yesterday was worse than pressing the nuclear button.

Please, somebody conquer us so that things can be good again.

It’s interesting that he made several hyperbolic statements since the beginning. I’m pretty sure it’s only gotten worse, but you can see the germ of the extremist viewpoints we have today.

Our country is now run by extremists who are hell bent on setting humanity onto its darkest possible future.

Why does no one get that?

Even if I were to agree, what should I do about it? What are we going to do to make sure things are better?

I don’t know. That ability to make things better has been permanently taken away from us, forever.

Stop with this passive aggressive shit nothing is okay when humanity is being destroyed by an easily preventable fate thanks to Trump (who is worse than the antichrist) making yet another reason the USA is a backwards hellhole that can’t do anything right 99% of the world does on a regular basis. I am in pain and you have all decided to write me off instead.

Maybe frevious is actually amazingly brilliant and this is all an act.

Nah.

Definitely not.
Although it is clearly all an act.

This is not an act. My future has been stolen from me by President Trump this afternoon. Climate change is the worst thing we have ever faced ever. I wish I didn’t have to watch the suffering like this. I don’t deserve this.

Nobody fucking cares that the world has just begun to end. I WAS RIGHT. Trump has just established himself as the greatest mass murder in human history. It’s stupid that the second biggest polluting nation is withdrawing from the only pact that could save us from extinction. WE ARE IN PURE HELL I DID NOT DESERVE TO BE LIVING IN THE ENDTIMES LIKE THIS.

Trump just decided to exit the Paris agreement, LIKE I FEARED. His legacy will now be cemented as the man who destroyed humanity. He should have just nuked us and end our misery right away instead of drawing it out for 80 years. Hope has officially died. History textbooks 30 years from now will be describing the end of civilization at the last chapter. He will become the first human being responsible for killing more than one billion people. My advice: don’t have children, quit your job, hole up in a room and wait for sweet death to arrive. June 1 2017 is now the day life ended for good.

WHY DID THIS HAVE TO HAPPEN TO ME?

This seems like a very self-centered viewpoint. There are actual, real people out there who have actual, non-imagined problems. There are people trapped in the limbo between being unable to afford college and being unable to get a job without a degree. There are people who don’t have access to clean water. There are people who live in warzones where both sides are just as despicable as each other. Feeling sorry for yourself to this degree over problems that don’t exist just isn’t healthy.

Also there are people who lost loved ones in the Manchester bombing. Or to cancer. Or in a car accident. There are parents raising kids with severe disabilities. There are people who don’t feel safe walking down the street because they’re black. Or brown. Or female. Or trans. There are people who are living on the street. People wondering how to put the next meal on their table. And on and on and on.

“Why did this have to happen to me,” as stated in this thread, is pretty insulting to people with real problems.

Trump has made those people’s live much, much worse when he decided to run for president, was actually elected (via broken electoral system), and set horrible policies into actions. That’s why I’m so upset about everything. These are the people I fear will be dead by the time he leaves office. When I said “why did this happen to me,” I meant why did I have to live in such a shitty time in history, where everyone who is not white, male, or straight is suffering unprecedented terror. And there will be no future where we can recover from this, because climate change will erase everything we have accomplished in the last 12,000 years.

Then do something about it. Make phone calls to your representatives or something. Donate time to a phone bank to help a better person get elected. Donate money to a better candidate. Go to a town hall and tell your representative what’s what.
But stop bitching and do something productive.

It’s not going to stop Trump from withdrawing from the Paris agreement. It’s not going to stop the GOP from gerrymandering their way to one-party rule until 2030. It’s not going to stop 23 million people from losing their health insurance and tens of millions more from falling into poverty and homelessness.

Even if I do something about it, all I would gain is that I would disappear, probably be shot execution-style, and my remains dumped into the Pacific Ocean.

I think Spicer himself said more insensitive things about holocaust victims in two press conferences than I ever could make on this forum.

But you certainly are trying to make it a competition!

How will anyone feel in ten years when I’m proven absolutely right and half of the country living today is murdered in future concentration camps nobody in 2017 though could possibly exist?

Better question: How will you feel in ten years when none of your predictions come to pass?

Of course, I probably know the answer. You’ll admit to no wrong-doing, cowardly pretending as if you never said any of this crap, then make another subject the focus of your nihilism.

Well Trump will fuck us all up beyond the grave because of his denial of climate change. The tipping point will almost be ten years past by then; countries will be erased from the map, billions will be dead, three out of four organisms extinct…fuck it, I could go on, but everything is absolute shit right now and I can’t believe I exist in a living hell. There is no future anymore, I can’t even see it.

WHY DID THIS HAVE TO HAPPEN TO ME?

Or the billions that will be killed by climate change that Trump’s inaction triggered because he exited the Paris agreement? We only have MONTHS to stop the worst effects of climate change, and the worst possible actions are taking place right now.
