 Well, those were censored out of fear of offending people, so from the business perspective of a children oriented company I can understand (although I don't endorse) their decisions regarding Song of the South and Fantasia.

There's no reason to not release the OOT other than that they for some reason feel that it'd be a waste of time.

Or because Lucas was a cock-stain and put it in writing the OOT can never be released again. 

 I agree. Lucas is a pure sadist and I'm 100% certain that OOT clause is in that Disney contract. We'll have to spend the rest of our lives stuck with fan preservations until the end of time.

That being said, the fact that these digital releases are the SEs doesn't worry me because I think that an OUT release will debut in some sort of box set, not online streaming. The new "bonus extras" are intriguing, I have no idea what that'll be.

That's a good point.  Releasing the OUT digitally and only digitally could end up like another GOUT release.

 If they ever release the OOT again it's probably going to be another "special feature" DVD only release (no Blu): but anamorphic this time!

 This is just corporate exploitation: selling a substandard product for as much money as they can, and flat out lying to us. Disney Loves to do this just so they can reap maximum profits with zero work.

The GOUT was the absolute last time the originals were ever going to be released. There's no way now they're going to waste time and money having two versions of each Star Wars film, and the real pisser is that everyone is okay with the slaughtering. The SE has won simply by being shoved down our throats hard enough.

What did you expect? It's Disney. They would rather make millions of dollars off prexisting IP's than satisfy disgruntled fans. They are to blame for the ridiculous copyright laws that exist in this country ("Steamboat Willie dare not get out of our hands!") On top of that, they are putting all their effort in remaking every single one of their animated films into live action. Soon enough they are going to crack down on the fan preservations and George Lucas's dream of destroying the originals will be complete. No wonder he sold Star Wars down the river to these monsters.

They're just the SE being released digitally (I looked at the run times). This means that the SE is here to stay in the digital age. No way iTunes is going to release the original editions, and this means whatever changes were made in the last 20 years to the OT is going to clearly carry over into Episode VII. Looks like Disney is following in line with what LFL did before. Whoever does the fan edits on this site, be careful.

Yeah, but humans (or current human civilization) simply can't exist with lethal temperatures and saturated CO2 levels. The Solar System will become much more impoverished: eight planets and no intelligent life. 

If you follow the news on climate change they are predicting global temperature rises much higher than expected: just 5-6 years ago they expected a 2 degree Celsius increase, and today it's more like a 10 degree increase by century's end. By 2020 it could be 15,20, or even 30 degree increase in the same period. The warming of permafrost will release more CO2 and methane, which will multiply the effects much more than even the best scientists will expect with the best accuracy. There will be mass extinctions of vital crops like corn and wheat, fresh water will become more and more scarce in the space of a few year, and then there will be massive cholera and malaria epidemics as a result. It will literally take millions of years for nature to reabsorb the CO2 emissions we have pumped into the atmosphere in the last 50 years alone. In geologic terms this destruction of all multicelluar life is not just quick, it's faster than  instantaneous, it's as if all matter in a 50 mile radius just vanished in one ten trillionths of a second.
