What would happen if Darth Vader was resurrected at the end of Episode VII? I mean Kahn was brought back for STID, but that might have been a terrible Orci/Kurtzman decision anyways.

Does anyone realize for a nearly forty-year franchise, Star Wars maybe had five good years in it? If things don't change around in eight months Star Wars' reputation as one of the worst franchises ever could be cemented.

I saw Willow once, when I was in the fifth grade. Don't actually remember much of it sadly.

 First, let's stay on topic. I have tried to stay on topic as best I can and I deserve some respect regardless of my antics. I don't think badly on everything in the world.

What I'm saying is that posters nowadays are dominated by corporate art and are lazy most of the time. Struzan is a great poster artist, and I think his work on the SE/PT was a good job, and infinitely better than the DVD artwork that followed years later.

You should say that to the people behind the GOUT. If they just made the films anamorphic in the first place, 99% of the complaints would not exist. It also doesn't matter that I'm emo, you just do not insult your customers; that's just good business practice.

That was a cruel act on their part when they just used the laserdisc masters, just as a half-assed way of stopping bootlegs. That's no way to treat fans, by pouring salt into wounds.

Nonsense. By that logic ANH with it's cantina is more "toyetic" than Empire.

There are more possibilities for toys in ROTJ because there is more badass stuff in it. More ships, more races, more fun. That doesn't mean they included all those things purely to make toys. The film was just better with those things in.

 Yeah I like the speederbike chase in Jedi too. 

Jersey Girl is still an awful movie though, and I don't remember any toyetic alien races in Empire either.

There's a 99.999% chance that's from the official release. If it looked any good at all, it would be a bootleg.

Even if the OOT was not lost and being restored by outside sources, they have to still face Disney's lawyers. That company loves to shout copyright infringement at any possible moment. Remember, they are the masterminds behind the lifetime plus 70 years copyright law in effect today.

I agree that Han and Luke made character arcs throughout the OT, and especially in Jedi. But ESB is still the better film.

 I never wore SW pajamas, and I never had a bed-wetting problem. The slide into pessimisn really began in 2004 when I learned of the DVD changes , and realizing the the original film elements were being slowly destroyed, mainly by coming to this site.

 Maybe I'd tone it down if it was Howard The Duck or Police Academy that was being destroyed, but the destruction of the OT is like blowing up Mt. Rushmore. So Lucas deserves it, and much worse things I dare not post on this thread.
