I like the heavy snow idea as well....it might make the battle seem more intense and at the same time cover up some of the dated look of the film...?

I too burned the original ISO NTSC dvd-9 version with no problem, but I am using a Mac, and I used a Sony DL disc with excellent results. Peace...

Just checked the NTSC DVD-9 out, and it is great!! The extended Alderan scene is amazing, and I wish I could somehow include it in the film just for my own gratification.

As far as the easter eggs, I quickly become brain-dead when looking for those, and I have a life, so needless to say if any of you "egg-heads" want to share some egg-trivia with a brother that would be sweet!

Thanks again Adywan, excellent work, and go take that break you've been talking about, because I know we are all looking forward to what you are going to do with Empire!

Excuse my stupidity, but what are these DVD easter eggs that everyone always talks about? Obviously it sounds like some hidden surprise somewhere, but if that's what they are, I must be bad at looking? Peace, and I'm downloading the NTSC version as we speak, just like the rest of you guys.

I really enjoy all of the movies, the entire saga as a whole, and I just wish we could stop bashing the quality of this trilogy vs. that trilogy.......It's all great, and tells one of my favorite stories since I can remember. Well just my opinion....peace my Star Wars brothers and sisters.

Frendon...that is an excellent idea.....at first Luke could see the old geezers that he recognizes, and then when he turns back around they could kind of morph into their younger/healthier states for their eternal state. Best idea in a long time....plus it would really tie the whole saga all together!

I would never compare Yoda, The Jedi Master, to little fury teddy bears...ewoks.

I don't hate ewoks, they are knid of cute, etc....but I have always been bothered by the fact that a teddy bear can smack an Imperial Stormtrooper on the head with a little rock and the heavily battle armoured trooper can go down for the count.

It kind of diminishes the strength of the jedi and rebel forces that have fought against such troopers for so long. I think to myself if that teddy bear just took that stormtrooper down like that, then what OB-1, Mace Windu, and rebel forces, etc. did was rather easy and wussy when they defeated such soldiers.

Just my opinion, and if you don't agree that's ok.......by the way, we should probably get this thread back on track, "Empire Strikes Back", because that is what brother Adywan will be working on next contrary to some of our wishes.....peace.

How about if ADY just does Jedi first.....then there will be a huge list of actual things to fix.....how he is going to fix the ewok problem I don"t know.....Empire is decent the way it is when watching the entire saga now.....but ANH was hard to swallow(although great now with ADY's help), and ROTJ is way out there....So if he does Empire now, we won't be able to watch the entire saga with admiration until 2012ish. If he did Jedi now, we could watch the entire saga happily by around 2010.....and then very happily(after he tweaks Empire) by 2012. I know he won't do this, but you guys know it's true....peace!

Just watched the NTSC repack, with all of Adywan's changes explained via the special features. A ton more stuff was fixed than I thought.

So....I kind of miss the Jabba scene....I think it really helps with understanding Han's story and obvious developments within' the trilogy.

Oh well, I wish I knew how to add that scene back into the movie, but other than that, this movie is very relevant again. I can actually watch EPIII now, and not feel like I am going back in time, yet supposidly into the future of the saga. Thanks again brother Ady.........so what will be different on the DVD9? Peace....

I know most of you guys are seasoned pros at all of this NEWSGROUP stuff, but I have been googling and trying to figure out how and what I need, without much success. I'm on a MAC so that complicates my choices.

I've been trying the torrent thing for this download and it is taking forever. At my current rate, I may have this thing by mid-next week sometime. (A week to download) I guess I'm thinking ahead to the DVD-9, and I do not want to go this route as it would probably take a month to download.

If anyone is willing would you please provide some guidance as far as the newsgroups? It seems like a way faster way to get this edit, and I'm sorry I know nothing about this junk.

Thanks, and to all of you veterans of this forum, I know these posts make some of you angry, (probably thinking, who would not understand this stuff, what a beginner loser), but I promise I'm not whining, etc., I'm just looking for some honest help!
