Adywan...great clip above! I do agree that a little more green tint to Dagobah would look nice.

Look forward to the new Hoth battle clip......

Oh, and I can't wait for this movie to be done and Adyfied.......

The Clone Wars (2008 animated tv series) - a general discussion thread
Time

All I know is this... last weeks episode (Cloak of Darkness) was great!! And vaderisnothayden....I actually think that some of TCW episodes are probably better than the PT movies. It seems that you hated all of those too, but I would say about 80-90% of TCW are very OT-ish.........speaking of that, this Friday...(The Lair of Grievous)...that should be sweet.....

Info Wanted: Is anyone working on The Clone Wars 2008 - with extended material added?
Time

Skyjedi....I assume you know that the Clone Wars movie was just 3 or 4 episodes of the new tv series put together to make an episode long enough to be a movie. And....I can't tell by your posts if you've actually seen the movie yet, if not, you can rent it at redbox for $1. I thought it was great, however, even if you hated the movie, the series is way better! You should definitely check that out, every Friday night on Cartoon Network.....or if you don't have that channel, free on Star Wars.com.......much more like the original trilogy, and many nods to the OT.....just check it out, I really think you might be surprised.....peace....

Hey Ripplin.....yes, the Clone Wars movie was the first 3 or 4 episodes of the series. However, since the series actually started on tv, it has been even better than the movie.....this past weeks episode, "Cloak of Darkness", Episode#9, was awesome! You should really check it out, it's much more like the OT, with tons of nods to the OT.

Yeah I think I know what you mean siliconmaster.....a lot of people hate anything new.......and that's OK! (Apology inserted, for the OT purists) I for one just really enjoy whatever story George wants to share with regards to the time period between Ep1-6. If it was his story, I would enjoy the story before and beyond this time period, but he continually says that is not his story.

With all of Adywan's new model talk, etc., things will surely look great, but man it saddens me a bit, this means millions more months until this movie is done.......oh well, better done right, than a hurry job I guess....

As far as the holiday special and ewok movies, those were never a part of the Star Wars Saga, Ep1-6. All of the stuff George is telling us now is purposely filling in the gaps that the movies didn't have time to tell, but they are part of the Ep.1-6 story and timeline.

So, it's completely understandable Adywan if you don't care to influence your edits with these new stories, but don't miss them yourself as a Star Wars fan.

There have been some great episodes of The Clone Wars, and The Force Unleashed has some great insight as to how the Rebel Alliance was formed, Vader's secret apprentice/Jedi hero, etc, etc, according to the story Lucas wanted to tell. And I for one have always wanted to know more of the story between Ep3 and 4, we've been given some of that with The Force Unleashed, but will be getting more with George's live action series in production right now.

By the way, Adywan, you have some great ideas with your versions of the PT......as much as I appreciate George and the story he gave us so many years ago and the PT lately, I sometimes wish you would have been there with him while he was creating the prequels.......I mean keeping Vader a surprise, and Leia....that would have been very, very cool.....

And to all of you George and PT/New stuff haters.....just relax....it's ok.....I respect your views.....peace....

I guess I was just pointing out that the George Lucas story, the creator of Star Wars, includes the OT, PT, New Clone Wars series, upcoming live action series between 3&4, and The Force Unleashed, which is just some of the story between 3&4. All of these Star Wars stories were written, produced, or heavily influenced by the story George wanted to be told. The other stuff like the books, etc., etc., are 100% EU. Doesn't mean they're not great to some people, but they are not the story George started us out with many years ago. And yes, Adywan can decide, and we all can for that matter, what we personally consider canon.

Darth Solo that was some funny junk a page back about the two docking bays on that crazy diagram. I looked at that thing and thought the same thing.

Oh, and a little off subject, but people keep calling the Clone Wars series EU, I know it's not an actual movie, but according to Lucas it is canon, and he has been very involved in the story line devolopment, etc, etc, not to mention producing the whole thing. In fact, this actually was a movie a few months back if you remember.

Actually, I think it is no big name actors! So, no Ewan, etc. on a regular basis. But lucky for us Vader is in a big black suit, so any tall Australian local can play him. Vader is obviously a huge part of the story between 3 and 4....check The Force Unleashed for some great hints of parts of the storyline. OK....back to ESBR....peace...

Seeing that picture above, it would have been so cool to see Vader all bad to the bone like that in the OT, instead of kind of wussy and weak with just a little choke move......maybe in the new live action series that takes place between 3 and 4 we'll finally see Vader as the man...

Great to hear Adywan.....keep up the great work, we've been saying all along that you really have some skills, now it's backed up by a real movie director...that's awesome. I just wish more people would find out about this edit, so that you could someday work your magic in a Lucasfilm studio with all of their obvious resources.....then you could make the extremely insane editions!
