Sorry, flynn2000.  That was my bad.  I'm on the MySpleen torrent now and my fiber-optics will speed things up.  I'm over halfway done already and will be seeding at full throttle.

That's Ok, things happen.  I should have just waited for My Spleen instead of jumping on TPB.  My speed right now on MS is .1 kp/s. Normaly I should be able to get it in about four or five hours, but I thinks that's not in the cards tonight.

Oh, and thanks again too Harmy.

The last work print looks wonderful.  It's almost strange to see some of those Death Star battle scenes added back in, it's been so long since we've seen them.

The one thing that is all over the map, color wise, is Han's shirt.  It bounces around between yellow and white-ish.  Luke and Leia's clothing stays consistent though.  I guess that's just the way Han's shirt photographed.

For the finished versions of this, I hope that alternative download services are an option.  If not, it could take us weeks to download it:)

Just watched reel 4 and it looks wonderful. Cheers to you once again Harmy!

The only quibble I have with it is Vader's cloak brightening, starting at 1:08:17. I don't think the benefits of making the cloak stand out more from the darkness make up for the high graininess swarming over it. Plus it looks like a matte is moving over it. I'm curious to see how others see it.

One other thing. Back on reel 1, the escape pod, during it's launch, has a visible blue matte box over it. Is that normal?

Anyway, it all looks so shinny and pretty! Can't wait for the next reel.

May you get a perfect grade on your term paper.

Hi Harmy,

Thank you for the chance to share in this.

Now I'm not as knowledgeable about colour correction as many are here, and my monitors are not perfectly adjusted, but I'll throw out a few observations anyway.

First a compliment: It mostly looks super nice and it's very pleasing to see the first shots of C3PO look so nicely golden instead of gold with green highlights.

There is one thing you did that I don't like and that is Princess Leia's skin tone looks too much beige or very light brown and her lips are brownish too. Instead I think her complexion should be a paler white with a redder blush on her cheeks and redder lips. I compared this to the 2004 DVD and you nicely got rid of the blue tint, but I do think the previous versions skin tone on Leia was better, even with the blue over it.

The sandcrawler cresting the ridge at 14:45, might be a bit bright.

Your establishing shot of the Lars homestead may be over bright, but since you had to rebuild it, it's probably as good as it gets.

I will leave it at that as I think others will be much more precise on the good and the bad.

By the way. Has anyone noticed the tiny glimpse of a crewman we get at 6:06 at the very bottom of the frame, a third of the way in from the left?

Harmy's RETURN OF THE JEDI Despecialized Edition HD - V3.1

I think I see a special edition alteration left in, Harmy.  I know this is probably something you already know, but the floating skiff at 30:24 is bobbing around, where in the original, it seems to be still.  Admittedly this is an insignificant thing and I guess you probably left it in because it would be to difficult to change it, and for little gain.

Just a observation.

Can't wait till you do your final polish with the Blu-Ray footage.  Your version of the trilogy will be all we ever need.  Spread the word.

I cleaned my disc and I think it plays fine now.  How are you...?

Harmy, on my television, the first shot of the rebel fleet is almost totaly without color.  Other points in the movie are just a bit towards the yellow side.  My TV's not adjusted that well, so it could be that.  Anyway the color is so much nicer than the unnatural look of the special editions.  Warmer perhaps.

The Lapti Nek scene looks better than I thought it ever could.  Nice.

The sarlac pit is very good too.  I can see your work in one or two spots, but its a massive amount of work you have done and it's just great how it all blends together.

argh... parts 28 & 31 have become "temporarily unavailable"... I've got everything else. The wait begins....

Restart your downloader and then punch the start button at the top left.  It worked for me.

I have watched the first 50 min of the movie and it looks so very nice.  Problem is that at about 53 min, my old Panasonic BR player freezes up and the picture goes all pixely. I try to jump chapters ahead but they all freeze and then the movie stops.
