OOT Box Set
Time
I may be wrong, but the only Box Set of the 2006 Special Editions (including the bad transfer the OOT) was sold in a collectors tin by Best Buy for a very limited time. It is pretty hard to find now, even used. Is is referenced in this thread:
http://originaltrilogy.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=2&threadid=7157

But as many devoted Star Wars fans will tell you, just wait a few months for Lucas' Star Wars 2007 Super Duper Special Double Dipped Atomic Powered Edition which will have the completely remastered Original Trilogy on the Bonus Disc. But I would wait for the 2013 Star Wars Super Duper Special Double Dipped Atomic Powered Edition which will have the completely remastered Original Trilogy on the Bonus Disc presented for the first and last time* in Blu-Ray format for High Definition viewing.

(*Last Time as it is used in this paragraph will mean until the next time.)

ahem, yeah obi-wan's my fav.

I totally agree how badly the movies were done, but I do believe that putting Ewen McGregor in as Obi Wan was a good move. I think Ewen did a great job with the character, given what, and who, he had to work with (Christensen!!). It was just Luca$h's execution of it that kind of dimmed the great performance that Ewen aimed for.

But in the end, nobody will ever do it as well as Sir Alec Guiness, may be rest in peace.

I must admit, I downloaded the JFK Reloaded, based on this thread, and played it for about an hour. While it is bloody in some instances, I think it aims at being realistic. I also think that it proves a significant point that what Oswald did is highly possible. I do agree that Ted Kennedy has no high moral ground to preach from.

After playing the "game" I could tell that it was not truly a "game" it is more of an involved re-enactment challenging the player to very accurately copy Oswald's shots and times. I think it was not unnecessarily gory, only highly detailed. I also am of the mind that Ted Kennedy should understand that his brothers death is extremely controversial and will be, and has been, analyzed from one end to the other. So long has the "game" is not encouraging the killing of any former, or future, president, I see no harm. The tone of this game is obviously history related and not just "kill'em, kill'em, kill'em". Jus' my two cents.

Bullets travel slow enough that we can use the formula E=1/2mv^2 to calculate. The rifle that Oswald used had a muzzle velocity of 700 meters per second, and used 128 grain ammunition. Plugging that into the KE formula we get E=(1/2)(0.00829 kg)(700 m/s). When we calculate that, the total Kinetic energy of 2.9015 joules. For comparison, 1 joule is equivalent to 0.000239 kilocalories, the unit of measure used to measure food.

You also seem to be forgetting about Newton's 3rd Law of Motion. Even if there was a 2nd gunman who shot Kennedy with enough force to visibly knock his head back, that same amount of energy would have also been exerted on the shoot as well. Meaning that your second gunman would have had a broken collarbone, and several ribs, if he had used a rifle roferful enough to exert enough energy to knock Kennedy back and to the left.

Well, except the TPM rubber Yoda puppet. That's been nicely covered up with CGI and will, I imagine, be premiering in a box set at a local retailer near you next year.
Man, I hope so! And they'd better have given ESB and ROTJ the same treatment. I can't look at that latex motherfucker any more, dude!

Also, I really hope that they've dubbed Temuera's voice over all the Stormtrooper dialogue in the OT, 'cos that just isn't right yet.

They should have Ewan do all of Obi-Wan's force ghost appearances, to keep it consistent with Hayden in ROTJ. For that matter, I'd like to see digital face-replacements on all of Alec Guiness' performances in the OT. It takes me right out of the moment every time I see his stupid, old face!

Hayden should replace that British guy in the Vader unmasking scene, too. Actually, I think he should re-do all of Vader's dialogue as well, since that Jones guy sounds nothing like him! Hell, they didn't even credit him originally, 'cos he's so crap.

All those crappy lightsaber duels will have to go before I'm really happy. They're so slow and boring. And far too short. Annie should duel with Darth Sidious (oh yeah, he should be called "Lord Sidious" by Vader all the time) at the end of ROTJ for, like, half an hour and then cut off his head! That'd be more in-keeping with the PT. And a much more fitting end to the greatest saga ever.

George should do a whole bunch of scenes for Annie in ANH. They obviously didn't have the technology to give Anakin as big a part as he needed in 1977, but he's the whole reason for the saga, man! And he's only in that movie for, like, five minutes!

Plus, they should dub over that guy who treats Annie like a stooge the whole time! Who the fuck does he think he is? That's the One Who Will Bring Balance To The Force, you absolute fucking nobody!!!

Whoa, that's one hell of a rant if I've ever seen one.

The actors and the chemistry was just so much better in the OT that Lucas didn't have to do much, he just sat back and let them work. The PT had terrible actors who probably needed LOTS of direction, namely Portman & Christensen, and their was a lack of chemistry. Now the best actors in the PT was, of course, Ewan McGregor & Ian McDiarmid. Jimmy Smits also, but he was so crippled with his lack of screen time.
