No. I'm saying that some parts are nothing but throwaways. Like Candice's line about "How do you know this isn't my real form?" It's simply a throwaway line since Micah was making assumptions and she obviously didn't like that.

I agree that the end battle was anti-climactic. From reading some other forums, the finale was originally suppose to be two hours. Maybe the executives, in their almighty wisdom, changed their minds and decided to make it only one hour, so the writers had to change it up to make it work in the time given. That would certainly explain a lot.

Maybe the DVD release will have some cut scenes where things are explained. Maybe it'll also have some commentary and why things were cut. I don't know, but here's hoping.

You'd figure one of the highest rated shows of this season would be kindly given a two hour castoff. Stupid.

Judge Blocks Illegal Alien Ban

So here we have it, the will of the people, in this case 68% of the city, is totally an utterly being ignored and discounted by another unelected, unaccountable federal court judge. Is this the American Dream our forefathers dreamed about? Where the will of the people is completely eliminated by one man? Granted this is a temporary injunction, I'm sure this idiot judge will make it permanent. It is just such a shame that our country overwhelmingly wants something done about the open borders and illegal immigration, yet the politcians and elected judges crap on it everyday.

Well, as you pointed out earlier, without her, Sylar is still vulnerable, though apparently ultimately unnecessary as well based on the finale. These guys really wrote themselves into a corner.

Anyways, this finale just had too many holes and WTF's to impress me. All the episodes prior were so cleanly and tightly written, that this feels like someone completely new to the story wrote it.

I just got through with it, and I was impressed with the possibilities, but also somewhat disappointed as well with the direction of the culmination of the characters. I think why this one was so much different is that I read somewhere that each character as their own writer who is writing only their story. They then sit down and combine the stories to make the whole episode. Whereas, with this episode all the writers had to really conform to each other and that proved a little challenging for them it seems.

Yeah...I've got a bad attitude. I realize it totally.

Hey, I'm cool with a bad attitude, I've found that a bad attitude is a sign of a realist and cynic, usually those kind of people don't become victims and I like that. Anyways, I was impressed by the trailer and I will give it a chance before I call it out as crap. I was a child in the 80's and had the toys, watched the cartoons, and everything so I do have high expectations. I also went over to the Transformers Movie website where there are some interviews of the writers, it seems they are really wanting to preserve the Transformers "idea" so to speak. So far, I know that they changed "Bumblebee" from a VW bug to a Camaro, but we all know they did not because Chevy paid a hefty sum to have it done. I would link their interviews here, but the whole site is flash based and hard to link. So, I recommend ya'll go check it out, I liked what they had to say. The interviews are under the "Videos" section on the website.

I read on another site that Bumblebee technically never was a "VW Bug". He was a car in the likeness of a VW bug. I've got nothing to back it up, but the guy said there was never a VW symbol in the cartoon or on the toy. Apparently he was always different enough that they couldn't be sued. When they eventually did want to make an exact copy of a VW bug (with the VW logo and all) for a re-issue, VW wouldn't let them do it.

I have somewhat high hopes for the movie, if only because the transformers "sound" is in the latest trailer.

Really, what in the hell do these execs at these companies are thinking? They could have just let that movie use the VW bug and garnered millions of dollars worth of free publicity courtesy of movie makers.

Austin Powers 4
Time
Heard this today that Mike Myers is planning on another Austin Powers movie which is going to be more focused on Dr. Evil. I dunno how much more he can do with this franchise. Part one was great and Part 2 was frickin' awesome. Part 3 was entertaining, but to me it just was not as good as the two previous movies. Now, if there is a part 4, will Dr. Evil be re-implemented as the main bad guy or will Seth Green carry on with that duty?

So far though it seems to be that powers mean nothing whenever you knock somebody out. So if Sylar or Peter knock the other out they could win. Knocking out is the kryptonite of all the evolved humans, maybe except Claire.

Well Sylar had to have been special before he killed Brian Davis - We know he can see how things work. Obviously his body allows him to absorb these other abilities but is that his 'power' or simply a side effect. Chandra had labeled him as 'Patient Zero' But we can't be sure at what point. We don't really know just how much Chandra did know. He was made aware by sylar that he had some form of telekenesis [after sylar killed brian] but that's all we really know for sure.

Everything we've seen indicates that he has to kill a person to get at what makes them special - which according to Suresh [both] resides within the brain. But here's a question - Why did he go to such risks to abduct Molly Walker? Why not just kill her?

Alrighty guys, I just finished Episode 22 and now I am avidly awaiting the finale on Monday. I read all of this threads posts and I can finally interject my thoughts to the current discussion.

From what I gather, Sylar has the ability to learn how things work by opening them up. He learned all about clocks by opening them up and studying the parts, he got to the point that he simply had to listen to a clock to find out what was wrong. So this tells me that whenever he finds someone with an ability he wants, he has to pop the top off and study that persons brain in order to figure out how it works. Upon doing so, he immediately figures it out and learns how to do it. Whereas, Peter is a bit different from the standpoint that he does not have to study anything, he just absorbs the powers of those he encounters. I see this being a plot point later on (if Sylar survives) that Sylar would want to pop open Peter to discover how he absorbs powers without ripping their head open. If Sylar were to get this ability from Peter, he could simply walk down the street and pickup hundreds of powers, if the streets are filled with hundreds of heroes. This ability would make his power grow more conveniently and quickly, causing him to be even more dangerous.

Well, I am up to the 15th episode now and I find it is like crystal meth, this is addicting. I reiterate that I am not reading much of this thread until I catch up with everyone else so I am sorry if this as already been talked about or you all know more than I do. However, I watched the episode where Hiro tries to get the sword from the museum and he says that the sword was found by that ancient warrior in ice. Then I see painted picture of Hiro fighting a T-Rex. I put these together and it scares me about Hiro's future. I wonder if Hiro goes too far back in time and then battles the T-Rex and dies, his sword then is encased in time by ice and later found by the warrior. Like I said, maybe you all know what happens, but right now my mind is running with possibilities.

And on Grey's Anatomy we've seen it lead to divorce, depression, anxiety and even pregnancy. So much for consequence-free.

Did someone get pregnant and actually keep it? When I stopped watching it, the asian doctor had gotten pregnant and then had an abortion. The message "It's ok to have sex and get pregnant, you can just have an abortion and everything will be fine". The same doctor was even trying to convince a patient to terminate her pregnancy due to some complications and acted like it was no big deal. Did anything else ever come of that?

As for divorce, who else has gotten divorced? Again, when I stopped watching, Patrick Dempsey's character was separated from his wife and I think was getting ready to get a divorce. This, of course, didn't stop Dr. Grey. Nope, even after she found out that they were still married, she continued to pursue the relationship, even though it wasn't in the best interest of all involved.

Again, a lot of what I saw were downright stupid decisions made by apparently very intelligent people. A lot of the decisions were so stupid that I just couldn't handle watching the show anymore.

Okay, I never watch the show and know nothing about it, but there is a female Dr. Grey! So what you are telling me is that evening soap opera my wife foams at the mouth over every week is titled after a womans hoo haw. I mean "Grey's Anatomy" would imply that the whole show is focused on Dr. Grey's parts. Interesting.

Yeah, I remember that time a road worker ran to scene of a man with a gun who was shooting wildly and took him out before he could kill anyone else.
