STAR WARS: EP IV 2004 REVISITED ADYWAN *1080p HD VERSION NOW IN PRODUCTION

I’m also a fan of the enhanced ANH: Revisited Death Star plans. The red Death Star schematic as the image on the DVD disc is just perfect. My thought is have the plans somehow morph from the old '77 style to the AOTC style. Of course, the ideal solution is to just do a Rogue One: Revisited with ALL NEW DEATH STAR PLANS 😉.

But he spent years living on Tatooine, which makes you age in dog years. 🦮

Alec Guinness was only 5 years older than Obi-Wan was supposed to be when he filmed Star Wars. I think it’s more interesting that Mark Hamill is a couple years older in Last Jedi vs Alec Guinness was in Star Wars. 60s was much different in the 1970s than it is today.

Where in the galaxy is the original source to this cover art?

The artist is MikeLuv80. There are matching covers for Empire & Jedi; revisited too. However his DA account was deactivated so you’ll have to hunt for them.

Should Luke’s lightsaber be blue to match what’s shown in the ST?

Luke’s saber is green in the ST

I remember one of the original trailers for Jedi had a blue saber before they changed it. I always did like the green saber though.

It’s taken me FOREVER to find any of the footage, but Adywan, you really should check this out. I had the opportunity to see this film in an OMNIMAX dome, and the redone opening scene of Star Wars was one of the most amazing looking and sounding things I’ve heard to date. Not sure if you’d want to try to recreate anything from this, but if so WOW it could be amazing.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=152&v=qQjY7ZDWFNo&feature=emb_logo

In short, the entire blockade runner opening scene was reshot for OMNIMAX with an all new audio mix. From the opening shot, the starfield looked far more breathtaking. I think I remember something along the line of a nebula in the background. The biggest additions were several shots from the Blockade runner firing back at the Star Destroyer with the sound of several blasts exploding offscreen in the back of the auditorium. One of the shots from the Star Destroyer creates a massive blast wave that shook the room when it hits the blockade runner. When the actual special edition came out and it didn’t include this, it was a huge letdown for me. I don’t believe this footage has ever made it to any home video format.

I saw at Omnimax too. I don’t remember if they mention it in the video, but they couldn’t use the original Star Destroyer model for one reason or another, they had to use the Empire Strikes Back model.

On a side note, at one of the Star Wars Celebrations they had the original Episode IV Star Destroyer on display. I was filming it but talking to my wife and looked away for minute. My son (about 4) went under the red rope and was reaching out for the model before I stopped him. He was about 6 inches away from touching it and possibly knocking it over. I have the whole thing on video.

Messing around with 3D animation-here’s my fist B-wing test. Going to fiddle with the model and see if I can put a little man inside. Then I’m going to do three B-Wings at once. I thought it was cool that you can keep the cockpit level while you rotate the ship like the old toy.

Didn’t know if you could use this kind of footage in the background to supplement the 2D ships. I found B-wing, X-wing, Y-wing, Tie, & Tie Interceptor models online for free.

Looks great! The twilight skies are gorgeous. Really like the new moons added to the crawler shot. I also like how you can see the Tantive IV in the docking bay through the pod window. I know you did that in the last version of revisited, but it's more noticeable now. I don't think it's only because the images is sharper, it looks like you tweaked that shot even more. Great Work!
You mentioned you were reverting the Death Star Plans back to the original version because of Rogue One. I really like your Revisited version and hate to see it go. In Rogue One you only see a moment of those original plans. What about starting off with those first couple seconds of the initial center dish diagram and have it shift into Revisited version before moving in?
Again, the clip looks fantastic. I look forward to seeing what's next.
Have a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Holidays or Happy Life Day.

George Lucas: Star Wars Creator, Unreliable Narrator & Time Travelling Revisionist...
Time

i watched a great video on youtube a while back that went onto great detail about Lucas’s original 9 to 12 part plan for Star Wars. it pulled from the old Bantha Tracks, interviews from Lucas himself, and others in the know. It talked about Luke’s Sister (not Leia) getting her own trilogy. episodes 7, 8, & 9. And then her and Luke would team up for the last trilogy to fight the emperor. Anyway, I searched every thing I could think of to find that video with no luck. Does anyone know what I’m talking about or where I can find it?

Thanks.

Stumbled over this video-
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-WUq3FnAPSA

As much as the movie looks outdated in comparsion to the newer films… this video would stick out like a sore thumb in comparsion to the rest of the film. It’s great as a standalone project made for fun, but not if you put it into the film itself. Of course, you’d have to change every frame to look like a 2010s film if you want this video in. That’s why people don’t include the Obi-Wan vs. Vader remake in their edits.

I was just sharing. I didn’t expect it to be put in Revisited. I like the original approach to the Death Star better than that anyway. But I still appreciate and enjoy seeing effort.

I’ve been experimenting with trimming “I must obey my master!” while also incorporating Sir Ridley’s “Your mother once thought as you do” (albeit slowed-down). What prevented me from deleting “You don’t know the power of the Dark Side” was both Vader’s turn and making sure that Luke’s follow-up line made sense. The edit is a bit rough, but I’m sure Ady can do better working in the 5.1 mix.

Here it is.

The “I must obey my master!” line you deleted is very important. It tells the audience Vader’s relation to the Emperor, as it tells a lot about the Sith master-apprentice relationship.
Deleting it is a huge mistake.

Strong disagree on this one.

Indeed. Why would Vader be planning to overthrow the Emperor in the previous movie?

Vader lacks the courage to attempt to overthrow the Emperor on his own. He’s stuck being his lackey since Luke refused to join him.
