If there was more dialogue to pull from Vader to make it work, I’d like that change. But it still sticks out unfortunately.

Even with the new series and they were able to get Earl Jones again, it be hard to imagine him saying “mother” … but there can be more syllables to pull from to make it. Who knows.

It doesn’t have to be Vader saying “mother”, just James Earl Jones. He’s said Mother !ucker in a movie or two, plus he read the bible for an audiobook. There are also a few great impersonators on YouTube. If Adywan decides to do it , he’ll have a few different options to try and make it work.

Forgive me if I’ve already asked this, but is the edit idea of Vader saying “Your mother once thought as you do” rather then “Obi-Wan…” still happening?

I took a crack at the Vader audio edit. (see the link below)

Over the years I’ve gone back and forth on whether such a change would work. I like the original dialogue as is. However, I also think such a change could make this moment more personal and more about the shattered Skywalker family. Also, it would better tie the scene to the events seen in the PT. We didn’t see much of Obi-Wan seeing good in Anakin during ROTS. Who knows, maybe the upcoming series will cover that?

If Obi-Wan and Vader meet up again in the upcoming mini-series there could be a chance this is fixed. But I do like him saying “Your Mother” because it’s more personal. I like to see him remember Padme and it’s more of a deep cut.

STAR WARS: EP IV 2004 REVISITED ADYWAN *1080p HD VERSION NOW IN PRODUCTION
Time

I ran ESB:R through Topaz AI to upconvert to 4K. It took a few days and the program either locked up or crashed at least 10 times before I finally got it to go through. I think it looks sharper and the blacks look blacker. I might be able to do even better if I understood all the settings. I upconverted ANH:R with DVD Fab. The file size went from 1.82GB to 13.6GB, but it’s not that much better-at least I don’t see it.

The shot of Vader’s tie leaving the Death Star always bothers me. The three ties are locked together as they fly off. Here is the concept I’m working on in After effects. Moving on to Element 3D in hopes of making a worthy clip-

I guess it would depend on the shot of the Executor you wanted to enhance. What kind of shot did you have in mind?

Also, if you want to use any perspective of that little video I made for different angles of the Death Star, feel free to do so.

That would come in handy for the view of the Death Star from Endor’s surface. Not to mention you could change up the angle for some of the space battle shots.

Watching the battle of Endor, I think of Spock reminding Kirk they are in space and that Kahn is a two-dementional thinker.
If the rebels wanted to escape, they could easily fly over or under the blockade of Star Destroyers. The whole battle should be surrounded with Star Destroyers.

Actually that is some of the only footage for ROTJ that could now possibly be used, with a lot of work, especially now with Topaz upscaling AI being available along with better noise reduction software . The rest of the deleted scenes from Jedi go from low quality to less-than-laserdisc quality, so can’t be used. But most of the shots inside the falcon are rubbish anyway. Why the hell are they running through the corridors with guns during the space battle? Maybe one or two shots, if any at all, may be used

That would be interesting.
I think the Millennium Falcon is shown only destroying 2 Tie Fighters in all of the finale space battle. Would love to see a little more Falcon action for the last hurrah.

Maybe change the guns in their hands to some kind of tool or an ice cream maker, if you wanted to utilize that footage for something.

Here’s another Fan-Vid worth checking out. Rebel ships approach the correct section of the Death Star to hit the exhaust port-

Also, I believe today is the anniversary for the release of Empire Strikes Back: Revisited. Can you believe it’s already been 3 years?!
