It's a safe bet she gets a cameo in the flesh someplace in the movie...
I would hope so. Her talent and credibility are a given. People want to work with her for a reason. She brings depth and weight to a role.
From my shallower side; I wouldn't cast a woman this beautiful and then draw a cartoon in her place.
She might as well be a cartoon with all that airbrushing. *badum tissss*

If any change was to be made, my vote would be to have the spider standing still for the first few moments, looking like a rooted plant, then become more animated as the shot progresses. (from McQuarries paintings, that's how I always imagined they'd have been introduced in the film)
I like this idea. They do this effectively a few times in The Dark Crystal.
Well. I don't consider a VERY rushed couple pages at the end a proper segue. :P Classic Star Wars introduces The Executor, gets the rebels off Yavin, and establishes a base on Hoth, among other things. Plus, it just reads very well sandwiched between the Marvel run. Vader referring to Luke as his son is weird when reading it in chronological order, though.

Finished the star wars movie adaption in that omnibus, now into uncharted territory not knowing what to expect next.
The Marvel SW comics are by far my favorite thing outside of the movies (I think those last few issues of Dark Times come in second). I even love the post-RotJ stuff. I really liked the cartoony artwork in the last bunch of issues.
If you're interested, read Classic Star Wars right before the ESB adaptation. Marvel doesn't really segue into Empire, so it's a bit jarring when reading. Classic Star Wars does a great job leading right into it, and the tone of both is very similar (considering the same team of Archie and Al worked on the Marvel books).
Also, check out the Wild Space vol. 1 omnibus if you want more oldschool SW fun.
I actually like those colors in that Lando pic. :P It's got a real Flash Gordon vibe.

Here's some 4K shots from the new teaser, including the IMAX shots uncropped.

Nice! Zooming in shows that the silver stormtrooper dude is standing behind the guy on stage at the big stormtrooper rally. Not that special, but it's something.
I just realized the "We're home" line is in reference to the Millennium Falcon. Did everybody else catch that, or am I just very slow?
+1 for the William Morris references. Check out Jurgen and King of Elfland's Daughter if you haven't. :)
I used to read Star Wars books before I realized there was much better literature out there. I recommend Book of the New Sun by Gene Wolfe.
"Roger, Roger."
That's when it hit me.
Just when you think people arguing for the sake of arguing on the internet couldn't get any worse.....
"Suggestions now closed."
pretty tough considering he hasn't made the prequel edits yet.

And "japs" is considered an offensive term in the U.S., just so you know.
It's offensive to UK people of Japanese origin too, which is why I used the term. The stereotype in the PT was offensive, contextually the use of the term makes sense to describe it.
Although I doubt I'd ever use the word in any context (wife is Japanese), I totally understood why you used it when you did.
I've never seen anybody mention the fact that George Lucas can't pronounce Calrissian correctly.
Oh god, make it stop.
I've noticed this place has gotten a bit more hostile in the last day or two.

Disney
let it go
I see what you did there.
This was always my favorite, but looking back on it for the first time in more than two decades and it's pretty lame.
i liked that it came with a green dionaga, though. I felt cool knowing what that thing looked like.
And the Worst "Argument" on the Internet award goes too......
i mean......it's sort of kind of the stupidest thing I've ever seen.
Yeah, I was a bit confused. :P
Woah. This whole time I thought ImperialFighter and imperialscum were the same person.
A different story.
A better script writer.
A better director.
Anybody see this yet?
