Steam Sales are why I have so many PC games, but also why I’m glad I don’t play them (& have Macs only now).

No image-only posts unless the image has a direct bearing on the topic at hand and it adds value to the discussion.
Like the one I posted.
No, because we already addressed it days before, with words.
I wonder if Scotty was ever able to retrieve Admiral Archer’s beagle? 😉
The novelization of 2009 ends with a stinger scene where the transporter on the Enterprise activates and a beagle jumps off the pad and runs down the hallway.
Dammit, StarTrek.com, this is why we can’t have nice things. There’s really no excuse to use the first thing that shows up on GIS when you’re making an article when you’re the copyright holder.
JEDIT: My friend points out that they have the rights to that image thanks to their “Ships of the Line” calendar series. But the question of “Why are we using this image in an official capacity?” still stands.
I’m still pissed at Paramount but now I’m curious. They just put out a third trailer. Is…that an NX-class vessel at the end?
Yeah, apparently the crew finds an old NX-era ship. Even though the NX exists on screen (as a model in STID), the Kelvin Timeline somehow has a different model Warp 4 ship. This has some precedent, as the Archon in the comics has similar adjustments, and it was supposed to be an NX-era ship too.
The recently released official Celebration itinerary has the screening listed as “Star Wars: A New Hope”. All that can really be inferred from that is that they want to be consistent with TFA’s downplaying of the episode numbers, but the fact that Disney isn’t squeamish about switching around the title of a film from before they acquired LFL gives me a small amount of hope that they’d be willing to walk back more the extreme Lucasisms in the future.
Related to all this (in that, I wonder what is even available for them to play at the event), does anyone know what version of the OT was played in those theatrical marathons when TFA released? I’ve been wondering if it was fairly new DCPs for the 2011 versions, or if they still have to theatrically distribute the '97 SEs.
They were DCP’s of the 2011 version, but somehow looked worse than the Blu-ray, my source tells me.
I was speaking metaphorically.
I’m surprised I’m actually okay with Cersi being Queen. Whay the fuck is wrong with me?
Oh so many things.
Cersi murdered everyone in the city to claim the throne, including her last child (though indirectly). She’s worse than the Mad King.
This is one of the reasons why we ask you to have purchased the original film. No one can say we’re taking money away from LFL. Also, Adywan isn’t using your funds to finance his own studio he can rent out, so that helps too.
This is an odd picture to release to the public;
it’s a Deathrooper holding a Stormtrooper toy. And according to EW it’s not a bts photo.i don’t understand what you mean. Why do you think it is odd to release to the public?
Right, it’s an in-universe Stormtrooper figure. Just like having a GI Joe.
I just wanna pop in to make the prediction that the last scene of the movie is just a shot of the back of Vader standing on the bridge of his Star Destroyer as it chases the Tantive IV over Tatooine and then smash to black.
I can get behind this.
I doubt that Gareth Edwards or any of the screenwriters where actively trying to include TCW characters.
Gary Whitta seemed excited about the reveal, Leland Chee said they’ve been planning this for 4 years, and Pablo Hidalgo said on the Star Wars Show yesterday that they decided to include this character and Whittaker was their dream casting.
As for his eye color, it’s a bummer they didn’t have him wear contacts (or CG every shot, this is Star Wars, which they could still do), but who says he’s human and that his eyes don’t change color when he’s not on his native planet’s atmosphere or something.
This is absolutely their right.
I like how targeted some of it is (no one involved with the “production of DVDs” is obviously there to knock out Robert Meyer Burnett).
Their arrogance of some of the major fan films has been the downfall of all. Axanar’s page is already filling with people saying how they’re not going to support any official production because of this. Which is exactly what the fan films should NOT be encouraging, since it basically proves that their productions are causing a loss of income to the copyright holders.
I like it.
It’s mind boggling. Like, how do they decide to update approximately half of the Cloud City shots in ESB?? Why would they not update the rest of the shots? It just makes no sense.
It’s not so much that they updated half the shots, its that the half they didn’t update are the same windows that were updated seconds before.
Oh man, that’s cool. The Onderon arc was pretty great.
I more I read up on him, the more I remembered that arc and liking his character.
Sounds like the story group came up with it 4 years ago and has been planting seeds ever since. He’s mentioned in “Bloodline” and “Rebels” whenever they need to talk about the Rebellion’s darker side.
I’d love to see the Director in Rebels. Do it!

Random TCW character. OK.
JJ said during a Beyond promo that Justin Lin convinced the studio to make the lawsuit “go away”. But the trial is still on for next year. No one still really knows anything.

Forrest Whittiker’s character is someone we will recognize, revealed in two hours.
Who the f could it even be? Cannot think of anyone from the films. An EU character?
Most definitely an EU character. Closest I can think of is Kyle Katarn. It fits the clues EW posted:
??? (Forest Whitaker)
This character has a past that Star Wars completists will recognize immediately when they see his name, even if he looks very different than the way they’ve seen him elsewhere. (He even looks different from when we saw him in the teaser trailer.) There’s so much to say about this character, we’re going to save his revelation for later today. Check back to EW.com around 2 p.m. ET/11 a.m. PT for a deeper exploration of this shadowy figure …
None of these things translate to film restoration. Who cares what he does to make money? Most of the people here don’t have formal training at all, which he does.

Yeah, there was a difference map thread we were trying to use to identify tiny changes.
I want 30 pervy sex tips. I want them here and I want them now! The nozzle has gone on mine.
I looked but couldn’t find the articles. I did find a bunch of celebrity fan sites coded in HTML only from 1997.
Don’t worry, Bingo, I got your joke.
