“groveling” when he totally changed a 16 year old story that he had written in order to make me look bad. Just more very dishonest media!

The best part for me was that I had a dozen tweets in my feed immediately after her speech beginning the countdown to Trump calling Streep “overrated”.

Also, “I never mocked him, I showed him groveling BY mocking his handicap.” Just don’t make fun of people and people won’t assume you’re making fun of people.

This is literally every day, folks. The world won’t make it 4 years simply out of people being tired of pointing out the problems every single day.

Also, Pablo confirmed that Rebels started 5 BBY and is already at 2 BBY. Looks like they are going to push right up against R1, hopefully into it. Maybe they actually have an end in mind so it just doesn’t go on and on having more events than seems possible in the timeframe (see: The Clone Wars).

SPOILERS FOR THESE EPISODES OF REBELS AND R1:

Those episodes didn’t end nearly as badly for Saw as I expected, and didn’t show Saw to be as bad a guy as I hoped. At this point he was already extreme enough to abandon Jyn, but not extreme enough to be sent to Geonosis by Rebel leadership. Now if they were doing this rescue mission outside of orders, like Saw had gone on his own and reached out to Rex for help because no one else would answer, maybe that would be a little more understandable. Also, this is the mission that ruins Saw’s lungs requiring his need for his oxygen tank, but he doesn’t seem to spend that much time down there, especially since Click-Clack seems alright and it was designed to hill it. I expected one of the canisters to leak on him or something. However, it’s entirely possible that the reason we don’t see Ezra, Kanan, or Rex in R1 is because they all died of Geonosian insecticide. 😉

We finished a shot and [Felicity Jones] was just walking to the next shot, which was at the end of the tunnel. And as she walked, someone switched the lights on and the way they turned on they went clickclickclick like this. Someone called her, and she just turned around a little bit and I was like, “Oh my god that looked great.” And I was like “Stop stop stop!” and everyone stopped. “This will take 10 seconds, just roll camera”…Then obviously 10 seconds turned into a half hour, and we probably did 17 takes. Got some comparisons thanks to Nightline.

We’ve got Gold Leader here, looks like they didn’t replace his cockpit as I don’t recall any new Y-Wing shots in the movie.

Red Leader indeed has a new cockpit with higher walls and a green light box (which is based on something in some shots of Luke’s), but it’s actually different than the other cockpits.

Blue Leader has higher walls too (or is sitting lower), and the angle doesn’t show his droid behind him.

because of the telephoto lens you don’t think much of in 2D but in 3D it looks like the tip is going to stab you in the eye. I remember gasps in the theater when I saw that shot in 3D.

I gasped because the wipe into it was so disorienting in 3D.

If you look at the Blu-ray Changes, almost every major change is something that would have been closer to the audience. I believe they did make the 3D OT, or at least started making changes to prep for it.

It’s more like keeping a bad guy from just capturing R2 and having everything they need.

The real question is was Von Sydow protecting both Luke’s map and Rey? Did Luke know that if he sent people on a chase to find him, they’d also end up getting Rey involved somehow, because that’s how the Force works and how it worked with him?

Yes, Luke knew where Luke was going (all the Jedi Temples) and put an incomplete version of the map in R2 so that when people actually needed him they would be able to put the pieces back together. If he’d just left the map intact, anyone could walk up to R2 and find out where he was headed. The fact that no one knew R2 had the rest of the map is kind of weird, because it’s Luke’s best friend, of course he’d know what was happening. Unless he told R2 to lie about it or stay dormant until they found the other piece, which he apparently did.
