I was right. They basically said they stop in the middle of the interview to point out that Ady removed most but not all of the "critters" on the way into Mos Eisley to show how nit-picky he is. They never mentioned this to him and he has a perfectly good explanation which no one will ever hear but us.

And of ALL 250+ changes Ady made, this is the one they focus on? At least io9 posted a video showing the GOOD AND JUSTIFIED changes he made.

I'm still eager to see this, but I know I'm not going to like it.

I understand you. But:

1: we don't know if this change is the only one shown in the doc.

2: Adywan is speaking, so I hope he has enough screen time to show the audience he don't make change without thinking about what he's doing.

3: I don't think Alexandre's goal is to explain WHY Adywan did this or did that (if the audience is interested in, they will show here at OT.com) to me his goal is to show how far the fans can go.

It's not just: "we don't like that so we remove it!" it's more than that. I think that's what he wanted to say. And it's an homage to Adywan's work to me.

We'll just have to see it. I'm both more excited to see it now that I know Ady is in it, but less excited because of this interview.

STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW

It sounded to me like they show the clip to show that even though Adywan was super-detailed (nitpicky) and "hates" the SE, he still kept elements of it in his edit. Why have it in there if you hate it so much?

Again, that's me reading a transcription of an interview I wasn't present for recounting part of a movie I haven't seen.

LOST
Time

Like I said a few minutes ago on my Twitter:

A genuine flashback telling a story we wanted to hear that also gives legitimate answers? What are you trying to pull on us, LOST?

Richard was always one of the more intriguing characters to me, its nice to have a solid episode that tells his story.

Here's a thought:

Jacob uses the wine bottle as a metaphor for the Island holding back the evil. He give the wine bottle to MIB and he smashes it. What if this is more than a metaphor? What if MIB actually was responsible for Jack and Co blowing up the Island? Would that make the flash-sideways the one where evil is loose? Cause that doesn't really make sense. That's what its just a thought.

My eMachine is probably the saddest thing any of you have ever seen (or heard). I'm going to try to do some editing on it, but I can't promise that it won't just catch on fire looking at the install discs.

Oh god yes, my parents have an eMachine. They had me fix it all of the time, and then boom, it's hard drive died. I had to replace it, and install XP over the horrible Vista it used to have. It works better, but not as good as I wish it could. I hated it, and still hate it. They bought it in 2009, and my 2005 dell, dominates it. Which is a bad thing.

I've managed to upgrade enough components to make it decent, but its pushing 5 years and sounds like a wind machine if you push it too hard (ie, open a program).

You know, Warb, if you're going to get angry with the nonsense, I'd like my due credit as being the guy who brought you Dr. Frasier Crane.

I found 005's work as Niles much more convincing.

Thanks Frink. Means a lot. You know, I was going to watch the first four seasons that I have on DVD just as research for playing the character. That and my wife wants to watch them again. She had a crush on David Hyde Pierce growing up, so I was looking forward to the role.

Oooo. This will be interesting. It seems that the Klingons come in quite abruptly. Will there be any shots of the Klingons where they pick up the first klingon cruiser and lay in an intercept course for the cloud? The trick about this added sequence is why the Klingons would openly attack the Enterprise when the threat is obviously the big blue cloud. Do they assume that the Federation had something to do with it?

Doh, I'm asking too many questions. I want all the masters of all the Klingon sequences! We need more footage!

I like the idea of the Klingons laying in a course. The establishing shot that zooms on the bridge of the ships could be used, with some rearranged shots of the interiors to make new dialog about laying in a course. We could put whatever we wanted on the viewscreens. I wish the subtitles weren't burnt into the image...

They would attack the E because its KIRK! Everybody wants a piece of him! ;-) But seriously, maybe they are afraid the E is going to destroy it before they do, honor and glory and all that.

The Runaways
Time

I don't hate Twilight in particular, I just feel the Kristen Stewart seems to play characters that are exactly like herself: without personality, awkward. My wife rented a movie with Kristen Stewart, and we were ready to mock it. But she played a girl with MS and was actually quite good. I know she can act, but no one in Twilight besides the guy who plays her father is really trying. I'll give Runaways a shot because Dakota Fanning is an incredible actress, but I'm not sold on Kristen 100% just yet.

I still don't know how you are going to have the Klingons from the opening attack the Enterprise. What reaction shots from the Enterprise are you going to use? Will there be dialogue somehow from the characters? This is the biggest draw for me in regards to this edit because even I can't think of a way of doing it.

I think we're all eager to see how this will be done. I imagine something like this:

EDIT: REDONE

Shortly after the Enterprise sees the communications relay destroyed, they find themselves face-to-face with the V'ger cloud.

They try friendship messages, and Decker tells Kirk about the alternatives.

As we see the icon of the Enterprise headed towards the cloud on the viewscreen, we see Klingon icons appear there, as a voice from another movie says "Klingons!"

[Spock's part about puzzlement from V'ger is cut]

Kirk and Spock look at each other. "Force fields up full. Deflectors, now."

The viewscreen shows V'ger on one side, with Klingons on the other.

New shots show Klingons firing on the E from behind, damaging it and injuring Chekov and the Warp Engine. V'ger fires upon the aggressors first, disintegrating them.

Spock realizes that V'ger is communicating in the million Mhz range, and tries to communicate back as the only shot V'ger needs to destroy them approaches.

This is something I just came up with while scanning the movie. I think it explains why Kirk and Spock are so eager to raise shields now after they spent time arguing with Decker about leaving them down, instead of them knowing that V'ger is puzzled and assuming that means they're going to be blasted.

Replacing the first attack by V'ger with it being damage from the Klingons would solve the problem I have with the E taking a direct hit from V'ger and surviving for a second shot, while the equally powerful Klingon ships disintegrate on impact (I would assume they have their shields raised all of the time).

I'd never really thought Probe-Ilia acted much differently than Ilia anyway. She's just not a likable character. Had Phase II actually happened and we gave a rat's butt about these new characters, than maybe.

BTW, Adobe Premiere Elements is crap. I can do just as much with Windows Movie Maker.
