But I think I learned someting last night- GOB is Jobe's initials?  George O. Bluth, Jr.?  Is Jobe an odd pronunciation of GOB?  Does anyone ever actually call him GOB, or do you just see it in print?  I don't think I had caught on that Jobe's name was really George Jr.
They never mention it in the series, but I've always assumed it was short for George O Bluth Jr as well. When he does a magic show, they announce him as "A Magician called 'gob'", but everyone else says "jobe", which is how they tried to make his name unique, I suppose.

Of course, it does make his name George O Bluth Bluth, when they call him "GOB Bluth". Which may be part of the humor.

We were right. Oh, and the "O" stands for "Oscar". Interesting...

And Oscar's full name is "Oscar George Bluth". I love this family!

Star Wars coming to Blu Ray (UPDATE: August 30 2011, No! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!)
Time

This bickering about not needing Lucas to release the OUT is pointless. The answer isn't, and should never be, "let the fans do it". The original (award-winning) cuts of Star Wars should be available at every Walmart and known to every person. It should not be recreated by hand by a handful of fans and shared as a "fan edit" 97% of the population doesn't know exists. IT'S STAR WARS. ON BLU-RAY. It should have all of the versions.

If GL changed his mind about releasing OUT, but with a few tweaks.....

I would not buy it. The originals won Academy Awards for Visual Effects. Just give us the original off of an IP and we'll be set. Every wipe was redone in the SE, which I can spot every time now. So I don't even want an "original" cut using the modified negatives. I want the original version, with all of its award-winning flaws.

Not that the wipes and snowspeeder recomposites are bad, I'm not saying that. I'm saying THAT'S WHAT THE SPECIAL EDITION SHOULD HAVE BEEN, an alternate cut that fixed the flaws. But it should have never replaced the originals.

Right.  Now were the German/foreign language crawls always a different starfield cropping or is this specific to the SE and this thread is still an unanswered question.
Let's leave foreign crawls out of this, unless you want to find every possible crawl from every possible version out there. ;-)

09/11/2001-09/11/2011 Ten Years Later
Time

I was in our chapel service at the Bible College I went to. Towards the end, one of the professors stood up and said "I just heard that a plane crashed into the World Trade Center". Honestly, I'm not sure if it was the way it was phrased or the way I heard it, but I imagined that a commuter plane had gone off course and crashed into the building, no harm done except for the few people on the plane. It wasn't until an hour or so later, I was at a friend's house and they got a call to turn on the news. All that could be seen was smoke in the city. It was then I realized that it wasn't the plane that should have been the focus, but the building. By that point they both were gone, so I went from "terrible accident" to "deliberate attack on my country" in the span of a minute.

I still don't fully know what to think or feel, 10 years later.
