24 - Didn't really know anything about it other than it takes place in real time. Also that Jack Bauer was supposed to be the new Chuck Norris because he's supposed to have some crazy body count by the end of each season. That hasn't panned out at all. But it's an entertaining show, I like it.
I miss 24. Jack'll get the count up as the seasons get on.

I don't really understand internet trolls. I am not sure what enjoyment people get out of posting non-sense everywhere.

The ot.com website has never been associated with very bright people, and it all begins with their moderators. That MOther fellow is an obvious moron.

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet (if it has it's probably been by me) but the rouged Wedge jogged my memory.

When Wedge says."One more pass" in the Hoth battle it doesn't sound much like Denis Lawson to these ears, to be honest when I could only listen to The Story Of ESB record to refresh my memory of the film (until it came out on video) I was so convinced that Carrie Fisher delivered the line that I imagined Leia was saying it from the base control centre while monitoring the battle.

Anyone else hear what I mean?

They're saying its not whoever dubbed Dennis Lawson, and even a woman.

That is AMAZING.  Ever since I was 10 years old...yes with the "Story of" album, I always though that line sounded like a female.  I never considered it to be Leia, but always thought it sounded like a chick.  BTW, I still do.:)
It's like I don't know any of you anymore!

...the changes don't take away my enjoyment of the films.
But they DO for us. We understand your point of view. You understand ours. Stop.

We're not saying Lucas can't change his movies. He can. They're his. We're upset because he shouldn't change his movies and leave the Academy Award winning originals to rot. Whatever version of Star Wars that is most current is not the 70's classic, and should not be called the same movie.

We love Star Wars or we wouldn't be here. We don't have to like all of it.

One less Steve Jobs in the world I notice.

Nasty way to go and way too young.

I use Mac products but I'm no Macolyte but he did make the reaper wait longer than many people diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer so hopefully he will serve as an inspiration to others.
I'm a lot more bummed about this than I thought I would be.

All I can see is that they fixed a handful of lightsaber shots they broke in 2004. Every shot I've seen has the exact same colors, except for the Death Star explosion blue ring.

It's a subject that Burtt has devoted a lot of thought to over the years, this idea of going back and changing a text once it's ostensibly completed. "Initially I thought that when films are done you should just leave them alone. Even if there's flaws in it, they're a product of a certain creative process in their day."

"That's how I felt after we finished the first three films," he explains. "But the world has changed. As I say, George has never wanted to let them sit still. He's always had additional thoughts because I think he enjoys it."

yeah, like I said in my first post on the subject, I wasn't sure if it was a problem with a recomposite or crushed blacks.  But I think you've all convinced me it is just crushed blacks (& thanks for the better pics 005).  But good grief!  They're so freaking crushed that now it LOOKS like a bad composite even if it's not!  way to go, lucasfilm...

Although one thing that still makes me question if it's not also a recomp...  Is it just me, or does the ship in the GOUT look like it's nose is pointing just slightly up as compared to the 2004 version?  Look at the pics in 005's post.  I know they're not the exact same frame, but the angle of the ship never really changes in that shot even though it is moving.
It is a recomp. But the crushed blacks are not as a result of it.
