Wait, the GOUT crawl may be recreated? My comparisons! I need to add originals to the originals!

Man, these guys are going to be really disappointed with the 5GB dummy file you just had them work so hard to download!
The ultimate in ridiculousness!
I wrote this article for my friend, if anyone wants to know how I think you should buy a new computer:

No, they're not there. Huh...
I got the whole thing just fine.
I keep flipping back and forth between them, incredible work as usual. But it is my imagination or is the railing on TOP of Vader's cape at the edge there?adywan said:
Something that was missing from the latest clip......

I like the idea that the universe hasn't changed that much and that they might run into the same scenarios and go about them a different way. As long as the comics are the only things that repeat, the movies should be all-new problems. Everyone seems to forget that a Khan redo wouldn't be a repeat of "Wrath of Khan", it would be a repeat of "Space Seed". I can't imagine a sleeper ship of any number taking over the ridiculously huge new Enterprise full of young people. So, no newKhan for me please.Johnny Ringo said:
I've been keeping an eye on the Star Trek ongoing series and i dig the style but i'm not that interested if they continue to adapt original series episodes.
What's the point of rebooting the saga if you're just going to tell the same stories again?
I hope they'll go in a more interesting direction with it.
If Niles Crane were here, he would have some clever things to say about these split personalities. Unfortunately, he and Mr Bowie live in the Phantom Zone now.
Yes, the same shot you drew on, upper right of the frame. You can tell the railings are separate pieces.Monroville said:
Are there any other shots to confirm that the railing has open spots along it like that?).
You should keep going just to say you got to 200, not giving up 10 issues before!
Yes, each section of the railing is a separate piece.fishmanlee said:
I don't think there are two cuts monroeville, just where the rail ends and then begins again, and ONE cut.

It's things that never had a decent home video release or were released pre-DVD that I worry about losing.
IDW updated their iOS app to integrate with ComiXology, so now everything I buy on there is read-anywhere and has the awesome Guided View that moves from panel to panel in dramatic fashion. Being locked into an iOS app was the one thing that was really making me doubt my purchasing choice. So I went through and downloaded several free comics and can read them anywhere. I'm very happy, though not sure what other comics I should buy.
I'm talking, for example, Doctor Who (2005+). The last two seasons were in HD, but while the rest were widescreen, they were not in HD. Are we afraid that we'll never get the first 4 seasons after/if DVD dies?Chewtobacca said:
I'd certainly fight for their release on BD. What do you have in mind apart from the other Star Trek series and of course Bab5?

There's a whole bunch of shows done on video that will never be out on Blu-ray, why aren't we fighting over them?
Love it.adywan said:
For the new tip i took a photograph of the replica Vader hilt i have in the correct position it should be and rotoscoped that in.

All I want is for someone to make a Fett-less version of RotJ. Just to show that it can be done.
The issue with that would be every viewscreen, phaser blast, and transporter effect has to be redone, meaning flipping back and forth between 1080p and less-than-DVD quality quite frequently.
I don't think seamless branching is an option, you'd have to have the entire series on the discs twice. It'll be up to faneditors to make their own HD Despecialized edition.

I look at it like this:
Star Wars
Shot on film, original effects mastered on film, released on film. Only available on 240i(?) VHS
TNG
Shot on film, original effects mastered in 480p, released at 240i TV signal. Available on 480p DVD.
I hope both versions of TNG are available on the Blu as well, but I won't hold my breath. The original is out there in higher quality than it was originally presented.
I'm sorry, Leo. I used to be like that, chasing after girls. As soon as I stopped, my wife found me. I can only tell you to go on and have patience.

One of your kids? ;-)

Luke's lightsaber is blue. Hooray!
The glove and slugs I knew about. The shadow and curtain coverup blew my mind.
The original effects shots are already available at their highest resolution, and aren't going anywhere.Gaffer Tape said:
I find myself very wary, especially in regards to what will become of the original effects shots.
The Glee Christmas episode is up for HuluPlus members. Anyone going to risk it, or do I have to?
