I log every movie I watch, I love it so much.
I log every movie I watch, I love it so much.
I’d say have it be a map to the first Jedi Temple, which Luke had been looking for when he disappeared. That way instead of the map literally being a record of Luke’s journey, the map leads to the place where the Resistance had logically deduced Luke would be.
Since that’s what it is, that’s a good thought!
I would love a modern after the credits scene, to see a hooded figure at the end of RotJ walk into Vader’s Castle on Mustafar and the doors shut behind them.
Who, what, why?

Everyone in the movie is partnered with a woman at all times. There’s no way you could get 45 minutes, let alone make it coherent. It would be the Kylo & Hux show and last all of 7 minutes.
It’s a troll, without a doubt.
If you read the details it doesn’t say it removes every single scene with a woman, that’s more a function of the clickbait-y headlines about it.
And I’m sure it’s not coherent if it is indeed real.
To be fair, I never actually saw the article, only screenshots of it, which enhanced my suspicion.
I had a tweet mocking the TLJ suggestion thread organically find its way into my feed, most fan edits are ripe for ridicule. It was only a matter of time.

I actually do believe it’s gotta be a brilliant troll. It’s just too perfect.
I’m not saying it’s a parody, I’m saying I don’t believe that it exists. The very concept is a parody.
The whole thing is a joke that went too far. It’s a parody of MRA culture and fan edit culture. There is no 45 minute edit without women. What would that 45 minutes even be?
Oh, whilst the Vader fight isn’t going to be changed (although with unlimited resources and two stunt doubles…? LOLs) one thing I would like to see changed if at all possible is Obi-wan referring to Vader as “Darth” as if it was his first name and not title!
It was his first name when they were filming… You can think about it as if he’s mocking the title, that’s what I do.

And I looked and looked for way to quickly export all of the descriptions and pictures to a spreadsheet, but it was beyond my skills.I just did it with a script, and sent the file to Harmy.
PS : thank you for this amazing work!
It was not beyond your skills then! Thanks! If I add any more entries I’ll manually add them to the 3.0 document.
Adywan does nothing halfway.
If someone wants to let me know if I have shots out of order (I had to reorder the whole thing when I moved it to it’s own profile), just drop me a PM.

I already had an image with the lighting and I completely missed it. Nice spotting!
It did lead me to a 2004 change we never caught in the first frame of the next scene.

I’ll be damned
Perfect
One thing I’m curious about is the sequence of the Death Star firing. It’s always bugged me even as a kid that this was just reused footage from A New Hope. Does Rogue One offer anything extra to mix it up a bit?
Rogue One has similar but new shots in almost the same order as ANH. Not sure how identical DS1 and DS2’s control rooms should be.
Made this comparison of all the firing sequences. Alderaan & Yavin are different takes of the same shots with Yavin having the sequence of Han saving Luke and Luke firing the torpedos inserted halfway through, Endor is the Alderaan shots slightly out of order with the actual barrel shot mirrored (because the DS2 is firing towards screen right), while Jedha and Scarif are dynamic recreations of the ANH firing sequence with Scarif seeming faster because there’s no shots cut between them.

He did a good job? It sounds like someone on a phone in their garage.
I see that the wall frame left has the mirrored frame right wall from the SE.

Muzzle flashes illuminate the cockpits of the walkers, an effect not in the original.Apologies if this has already been reported; I do not have the wherewithal to comb the thread and see.
These are in the original, off by a frame.
Confirmed 2004 fix.
Nope. Cockpit shot with y wing in the background. Early in the fight.
Found it, adding.
The shot of Luke I was referring to was during the line “I copy Gold Leader”, I was just giving a visual so you can find the error on the Y-Wing prior to that.
And yes, I probably was watching the 1.0 version.
Nope, you were right. I was talking about a different shot.
Damn. Must have been something they fixed in 97 that slipped in.
Edit: Hmm. I swear I knew about this change, but I don’t think I see it in either Harmy’s Despecialized Gallery or doubleofive’s change gallery. That explains how it missed my spot checking at the end, but I could have sworn it was, at one point, in such a gallery.
So we’re not talking about this one?
