STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW
Time

Latest:

well i can only work on the video editing side of things for the next couple of weeks because the housing association that i rent my flat from have just started work on putting in a whole new bathroom, so i am without power/ water for a lot of time while they are doing this work. This means i can't continue working on the models/ miniatures, not only because of this, but also because of all the dust, which is not good when working with silicone, resin or paints. I need to be able to work in the daytime so this work being done has stopped this for the moment. We're still looking at a summer release, but which month at the moment is anyone's guess. The 720p mkv will be the first version released with the blu-ray/ DVDs coming sometime after because of all the work that has to be done to create them (menus, special features etc)

Still set for Summer 2012

Okay bit of an odd post this but kindly bear with me...

Shortly after R2 and 3PO have crashed and parted company there are two shots of 3PO walking that show a small black "thingamy" in the sand. I say it's "in" the sand because at the end of the second shot 3PO walks in front of it and it's clearly behind his leg. I first noticed it while watching Revisited and went back and checked the blu-ray, dvd, gout and my old vhs versions and it appears in each and every one. My question is firstly what the frilly heck is it and secondly why wasn't it removed by somebody at some point (especially for Revisited?!) It's ultimately a very minor thing but it seems very out of place to me!

I have made two screenshots to show what I'm talking about but I can't insert them in my post (because I'm thick.)
Use Imageshack or Photobucket to upload them and post links. I'm very interested to see what you're talking about.

What are you reading?
Time

I went on a reading spurt and got to Stephen King's 4th Dark Tower book, Wizard and Glass. I've read up through this book before, but I didn't remember anything about them so it's like reading them for the first time. My mom thought I should read them as a kid, I really don't know why. Apparently I didn't understand half the stuff in there, as now I read a risque passage and think "My mom read this and thought I should too?"

Harmy's STAR WARS Despecialized Edition HD - V2.7 - MKV (Released)

I know it's probably sacrilegious, but things like fixing the lightsabers, removing garbage mattes, colorizing R2 so the panels are blue in space never bothered me really. It's only the changes that altered scenes, story or added or removed characters that bothered me.
I'm kind of the SE changes guy, and I have to admit that I agree completely. If the SE was simply fixes like this, I don't think I would have ever had a problem with it, and 90% of it are fixes and clean ups. It's the other 10% that just changes things for no reason that upset me. I honestly don't think we'd be clamoring for an Harmy's Unfixed Edition if that was the case. But if Harmy is going to undo the SE, he might as well undo it all.

Hold on the 2004 DVD is a downs scale of the Bluray’s source

If A DVD downs scale of v2.0 is made available.

Can I download that if all I have is the

2004 DVD and the GOUT?
No. I think the idea is that you're supposed to own the sources the editor used, like you could have recreated it yourself if you had the skills. Obviously you can't own the film scan's Harmy is using, so the Blu-ray source will have to do.

Besides, there are several changes to the Blu-ray that make the DVDs not a simple downscale. That may even be why they changed things in all three. ;-)

tl;dr version:

Deckard is a replicant of Gaff (Edward James Olmos). Gaff, an experienced blade runner, is physically impaired and unable to hunt down the Nexus 6 replicants from the colony. The police arrange to use Deckard and implant all of Gaff's memories, knowledge, skills, etc. into him.

Gaff knows about the unicorn dream. That's why he makes the origami unicorn.
Holy crap, what?! Han Solo is a Cylon copy of Bill Adama?!

Hmmm... 005 goes and sees Twilight 4 in the theatre. Doesn't go back to theatre until Hunger Games, an event ENGINEERED IN A LAB to repeat the success of Harry Potter AND TWILIGHT

I rest my case.

(Almost anyways. I think if you saw John Carter, you'd be on here trying to rouse the rest of the silent geek fan base with me. Because you'd dig it THAT MUCH.)
What can I say, I'm a slave to hits on the website I was asked to write for.

The Hunger Games (2012)
Am I to understand you went and saw this before you saw John Carter

I am disappoint. You gave into the machine.
I haven't been to a theater since Breaking Dawn 1 (which I watched for a podcast), and it took us all weekend to convince ourselves we wanted to go to the theater to see this movie we were actually anticipating. Can you imagine how much it takes for us to see a movie neither of us (and indeed, the rest of the world) cared about besides xhonzi?

The Hunger Games (2012)

Not a bad adaptation at all. It cut out a lot of the fat from the book, and added little bits here and there that tried to help flesh it out. Unfortunately, those pieces were written horribly and almost seem to pause the movie. Instead of being told about the world through the first person narrative, the world building is done through news reports and game commentators, which really takes you out of the movie because its only done when "ooo, she must be thinking this thing, let's see what happens", which is probably the only way you could have done this without having a running internal monologue the whole time.

CGI was passable, though questionable in some cases (in one instance there are some pretty bad CG piles of dirt; yes, piles of dirt, the most abundant resource). It's been a while since I've been to the theater, so the shaky cam style disoriented me for a while.

The movie does seem rather short though. Maybe because less happened than in the book? It's hard to tell.
