I'm glad to hear that. I really am.Bobby Jay said:
Calling this film an Alien prequel does it something of a disservice in my opinion. It works better if you forget about the Alien films and take it in as a stand alone story that just so happens to be set within the same "universe".
Since I only know two Alanis songs, it's either talking about irony or her doing things to Dave Coulier. ;-)
Maybe I should listen to some more of her stuff, eh? She did play God in the View Askewinverse.
True, Frink's joke is that he's old, Bingo's is that he's immortal.bkev said:
^Joke would have worked better with Frink.
Looks like DOSBox is your answer.Trooperman said:
My favorite SW game is still TIE FIGHTER from the 90s. It made you feel like you were in a Star Wars movie.
Does anybody know if you could run it on Vista or Windows 7, or Mac OS in a simulator? I still have XP but will probably upgrade in the future.
You just wanted to be cast, admit it.Bingowings said:
Urgent note to Ridley, old people should be portrayed by old actors not middle aged actors in really bad halloween masks.
With the terrible things McCoy called Spock, I don't think Starfleet has such training anymore.doubleKO said:
Miles O'Brien: "We can sit here arguing 'til we're blue in the face..."
Shouldn't using this expression in Starfleet get you sent for sensitivity training? What an outrage.
Coppola bothered to restore the film and release it without adding CGI to it and calling it his original vision. I think that's what they're getting at.

It's not ironic, it's coincidental!
We got a new TV today. I was looking through my Blu-rays for something to try it out with, check out the colors, and it was really sad that I couldn't do it with my favorite movies. I tried, but it really only showed how the Blus are so messed up.
*sigh**
I saw a short trailer at Walmart today while we were looking at TVs. I just stopped talking and told the Mrs that we'll be watching it next weekend.greenpenguino said:
I've been trying now not to see any spolier-y kind of stuff. Like Trailers or other stuff.
I've seen other people say how the reviews they have been reading don't match up with the scores they give, for good or bad. Very strange. We don't get it until next week.
Chromebooks are good for a second computer if you don't like tablets. My Cr-48 is pretty speedy, but this new generation would be extra nice, much faster. And they have the new version of the OS, they haven't rolled that down to the 48s yet.twister111 said:
So I looked up one little 5 min review of a Google Chromebook on Youtube because I was mildly interested. After said video I knew I did not want. Now Google chromebook reviews are infesting my Youtube recommended videos like a damn virus! Get away! Go! Shoosh I don't want you!!!
I even think it's going to rain today, that's even more ironic.
I absolutely love thinking like this. Maybe another director, inspired by the movies his whole life, recasts the roles and makes his vision for part 3?oh_riginal said:
That was me. :) And after some thought, I could see part 2 as a critical success but financial flop, hence the (SPOILER * SPOILER * SPOILER-ish...) cliffhanger ending that will likely go unresolved.

As someone said (don't remember who), you can conceive of part 1 as a low-budget grindhouse flick that enjoys unexpected success, leading to a higher budget and mainstream distribution for the sequel.
Someone just tried to get a password reset on my disabled Facebook account. One of you trying to masquerade as me to get more clips from ESBR?
Or was it just Bingo forgetting what he set my password to when he was me?
Her birthday is today? How ironic.
Frame rate is still terrible. Again, probably just me.
Absolutely abominable. But that may just be me.
Why are those Sand People twice as tall as Luke?
EDIT: LAST SECOND VIEWER FOR THE WIN!
Been playing Halo Anniversary with the Mrs. It looks great and plays like the original, but man, the level designs are so repetitive. I know you went through the , now go through it backwards.
The big problem is that co-op doesn't have any permanent checkpoints. Once you start the level, you can't quit unless you want to start it all over again. On Legendary, that sucks.
You'll have one for the DVD menu.TV's Frink said:
I want a Ric Memorial button.
I watched this last night. It is perhaps some of the funniest things I've seen in a long time.
I'm sorry, but I agree with Frink, Lando Ric must die. There's never been any real peril on the approach to Coruscant at the beginning of Episode 2. By adding the battle and having Ric die, he's showing that anything can happen and that his edits are going to be darker than thought possible.
Yes, eventually. He's still working on the first one, if that tells you anything about how much better these are going to be. ;-)Loconut said:
I've been somewhat out of the loop....is Harmy going to re-release (2.0) all three of them?
