Missed that. Mine was the new expansive shots of Vulcan for Amok Time that replaced live action shots completely.

Version 2 of those screenshots looks amazing, especially the close up.

Part 3 of the Oduka's interview is up on TrekCore. They mention in "The Naked Now" that they discuss the TOS Enterprise in the episode but show a diagram of the refit. They've made a diagram of the TOS Enterprise to use in that shot.
I asked Oduka about it on Twitter:

Are you planning on fixing many mistakes like that? You've got to be torn between recreating the original FX & making them better
@MikeOkuda said:
In vast majority of cases, we try to re-create original FX, including artistic decisions with which we disagree.
is there demand? I figured this one was pretty straight forward.nightstalkerpoet said:
Any visual comparison coming for this clip? :)
More work for you. ;-)muddyknees2000 said:

...what about those 2 stormtroopers that were watching Solo be loaded aboard? Would we see them walking away on the platform?
That would actually make alot of sense.
I've always wanted to go to Canada...
The goal was to catch the other players before they caught you.zombie84 said:
Yeah, it's weird that as a mouse your goal in the game is to actually get caught (and in real life, presumably die).
Which one is Bingo? Besides the obvious, "he's all of us"Yoda Is Your Father said:
Hey Bingowings, did you see they namechecked you in August's issue of 'Empire'?
The wife and I bought it, you collect cheese pieces, and when you get to a certain point you can add another piece to the trap, then you circle around the end and if someone lands under the trap you can spend cheese to set off the trap, but if it fails along the line you have to reset until the next person lands under it. Basically, the game is an excuse to build a Rube Goldberg machine.
I'm just trying to point you guys in the right direction so it doesn't get lost in 26k posts.
Adywan is not going to reboot the prequels, so this conversation should be moved to the "Script Writing and Re-writing" area, please.
I actually got to play Fireball Island once. Or at least, play with the game board. I actually played the game of Mouse Trap for the first time last year. Not the first time I had built the trap though.
I'm wondering the same thing...SilverWook said:
Yes, that's what they did.

I wonder what they will do with episodes that used stock footage from the movies?
You read right, those soldiers are only part of the new troop footage, in fact that wasn't even intended for that shot, it just happened to work! The rest of the shots are milling the I'm the background or running from the walkers.
I'm pretty sure Okuda is convinced they can't squeeze any more from the SD. He said he doesn't want people to feel like they're dipping again.
I'm not even a TNG fan and these images make me want to buy the set.
I can't recommend TableTop highly enough, as you can see how the games are played and decide if you like it, but some things we've got because of or in relation to it:darth_ender said:

Thanks to TableTop, Mrs. O'Five and I are getting more board games and the like.
I meant to ask: what games have you been trying out? What have you enjoyed and what have you hated? I always have enjoyed wargames, but I know there are plenty of other fun games out there. I just don't get to try them out often enough. Input from others is useful in figuring out which to pick up.

I saw last night it was going to be your birthday today, Warb. Then I forgot.
I don't use my calendars very well.

Relevant to our interests:Once a fanedit is put to a usable medium, it meets the legal definition of a bootleg. Contrary to what other fanedit websites may want you to believe, there is nothing you can do as a movie consumer to change this fact. It is for this reason that fanedits must never be sold, bought, or associated in any way with trade and commerce. Sadly, there are established fanedit websites that defy this principle every day by using their content to attract advertising revenue. The Digital Fanedits website is 100% commercial free--both in principle and in practice.
In keeping with these legal and ethical interpretations, fan-editors are not permitted to accept payments or other financial gifts in connection with their work. We can cite the author of Star Wars: Revisited as a perfect model for how not to conduct yourself as a fan-editor. Digital Fanedits has a zero tolerance mandate for fan-editors who solicit donations into PayPal accounts to subsidize their projects.
lol
I'm not sure how many time Ady can say its just the GOUT audio. ;-)Captain Antilles said:
Awesome!
The color correction is awesome, the new sky <span>behind the Slave I's landing platform looks fantastic, and I love--ABSOLUTELY LOVE--that Leia's line about trusting Lando (around 2:52) has been restored to pre-SE completion! Music to my ears!
Thanks, Ady! =)
Shame that a quick photoshop shows that Adywan simply took the original walls and moved them into the SE position. The wall could be seen the entire time. They DELIBERATELY covered up the focal point of the scene to show off the CG.
If your Special Edition-ing requires you to cover up one of the main characters with a wall so people will notice your changes, you're doing it wrong.
I also like that the official description of the change was they moved the wall so it would still be in frame. How did Ady leave it in when they couldn't before?
It had been a few minutes, and he does roll into the hallway as we watch him, so yeah, he's be wandering. You expect R2 to just bang his dome against a door for 5 minutes? Naw, he's trying to find a point to use his jets to fly to Luke! ;-)HotRod said:
I always thought that once they added the balcony it created one massive continuity mistake.
Hadn't we just seen Artoo get the door shut in his face? Was no balcony there.
Unless of course he wondered off!!!
This is truly a thread for discovery.TK-949 said:

Love that you restored the hallway they used in the SE to block off R2 to force people to look at the new CG balcony. Nice to see the important character restored.
Forgot about that one. We don't NEED to see more than that. It's one time where RotJ actually doesn't hold your hand and lets you discover things for yourself years afterwards.Gaffer Tape said:
Also, in the shot where they first enter the bunker, you can see him, in Imperial Scout uniform, turning around to stand guard.
