STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW
Time

Yeah, .Mac., I'm pretty sure most of them would be shunned pretty heavily if they actually participated in a fan edit. Might even be in their contract "you cannot reprise this role without explicit written permission by George Lucas." That would keep them from doing commericials in character without it being licensed by LFL, stuff like that.

well I would like suggestions on what programs to buy to edit this I want one color correcting program to color correct the first few seconds of the jabba the hutt scene to the BD image of the scene to fit into HD quality there is a little snippet of the scene in the opening feature of the 1997 VHS of the film that is in widescreen so I would also like a suggestion on a program that I can matte out the stupid little CGI jabba to fit the real one in. Also if there are any other little snippets of the scene in widescreen please send the footage the project will be underway by friday afternoon
Star Wars Begins used every possible shot available to the public. There are no better sources than the ones he's already presented.

Wow, just image what ILM could do if they really wanted to?

They wouldn't have to do anything. NO ONE would have to do anything but scan the film and make sure it wasn't damaged. If ILM had to recreate all of the original effects, they'd end up making another SE, as recreating the effects was the original plan until George saw Jurassic Park.

Well, things likely also depend on just how far back they go with their film elements, would they be transferring from negatives with optical effects already composited, or would they have to separately scan then arrange the live action film with the effects footage? It'd look good being put back together from scratch (with every layer of the final image cleaned/corrected individually), and possibly end up reasonably close to how it was in the original, but likely they would introduce some sensible "improvements", as they did in ESB where they made snowspeeder cockpits no longer see-through (and more often likely introducing many unintended differences). It kind of comes down to what there is left to work with and what specific film elements it was that Lucas claimed to have "destroyed" when he made the SE (if he wasn't lying about that, as well).

That would be re-work, as that's exactly the steps they took in the mid-ninties. And the ESB cockpits are still transparent, its just that the image has been darkened so much that its harder to tell. They worked really hard on ANH, but at the last second (relatively) decided to do ESB & RotJ, so there were elements that weren't redone as well as they should have been.

Supposedly the 3DS version has color coding to make it easier to figure out. I don't think I made it that far before my eyes fell out.

Yeah, I play my friends 3DS every now and then, when I first used it I gawked at the 3D for about five minutes, then got tired of it and turned it off. Anytime I use it I just leave the 3D off until I see something in the game and and think, "I wonder what that looks like in 3D?" Turn it on for a second, then it goes right back off. My friend says he always leave it off too.
I did the same thing. Then I realized that I hadn't played it in the last 8 months and sold it.

WATER TEMPLE! You've haunted me since 1998. Now I've returned and you're still the same ol' soggy bitch you were back then. "Go do this! Now come back and do this! Now go do that! And come back and do this again!" AARG!
