I'm watching it too. need to watch episode 3.
I'm watching it too. need to watch episode 3.
I hear that people think its terrible, I just don't get it.
Perhaps I dictated it! ;-)DuracellEnergizer said:
Technically, you didn't "say" anything -- you typed it. =P
I'm glad I said something!
So a salesman comes into my wife's shop a couple weeks ago trying to sell her a Chip-&-PIN Point of Sale system (she currently uses the Square add-on with her iPad). She declined, and when she asked me about it, I explained that its a much more secure credit card system that everyone but America uses, and like the metric system, it won't catch on because it's too different and I can't see credit card companies sending out all new cards to everyone, and besides, I've never seen one before.
Yesterday we get our new credit cards. They're Chip-&-PIN. No explanation of what that means, or what the little gold square is for. It's just "here's your new card, thanks for owing us money!"
My wife says "Apparently you were wrong about this being years off, huh?"
JEDIT: They might only be Chip-&-Signature, so face saved?
But you already output it. Just line it up, output the merged video, and replace that section with the merged file. Sure you can't go back and tweak it later, but its better than not having it.
Looked through most of your list, found like 20 movies I didn't know I didn't have marked as watched. Thanks for being my age and having the same tastes I did!
I'm still finding movies on people's lists that I completely forgot I saw.

As for 4k TV's, unless you're buying a REALLY REALLY REALLY huge tv, you probably don't have the eyesight to actually take advantage of the difference. And by huge, I mean so big it won't fit in most people's houses. Like, movie theater sized screen big.
Frink has the POWER, UNLIMITED POWER!
is that not what we were talking about? SorryTV's Frink said:
I had to go watch the youtube clip to remember those scenes, as I've seen Robocop a few times but not in a very long time.
Might that not work better as the birth of Vader?
My local Kmart is (finally) going out of business. The sales aren't insane yet, but the deepest discount so far was 25% off all video games. They had a "Shadow of Mordor" that I couldn't resist.
So far I really like it. The Nemesis system of the orc that kills you getting promoted and leveling up does really add frustration/challenge to death in a game where your character is already dead. Then interrogating another orc to find out the other one's weakness then setting up a plan to get them is really great.
For example, one of the SOBs that killed me is having a recruitment event. I learned from another orc that this one is susceptible to ranged attacks and can be killed instantly by an arrow to the head. So I start the event, climb up to the top of a tower, wait for him to come by and start talking and shoot him in the head. The rest of the orcs run away without their leader and I fade back into the shadows.
It does feel a lot like Assassin's Creed, but that's not a bad thing at all.
Oh man, the shots where they keep turning him off and on might be great for that.Bingowings said:
The birth of Robocop tinted orange might be a laugh at that point.
I believe we settled on "Well of course Obi-Wan Knows Obi-Wan, Obi-Wan is Obi-Wan. Obi-Wan hasn't gone by the name of Obi-Wan since before Luke was born."fairuz hidayat said:

Would it really? Think about it, Shatner hasn't really played anyone but himself for years. Even Denny Crane was Shatner-esque. I feel like him trying to get back into Kirk would end up like the Kirk parodies, similar to how I feel Frank Oz ended up almost giving a Yoda parody in the prequels.pittrek said:
It would be nice to see The Shat as Jim Kirk again.
I'm interested.
I THINK d_e was deliberately overreacting. I hope he was.Bingowings said:

What exactly did you mean by that?! Adywan will be done when he's good and ready, darn it! He's under no obligation to complete this for you or anyone! Stop trying to pressure him! He's got a job now! Geez!
What exactly did you mean by that?! The chap above said he was looking forward to the edit, the chap above him joked that Ady may secretly be working on finishing ROTJ:R for a surprise simultaneous release and the chap above that suggested a way of showing progress without tying Ady down to a deadline. Who exactly are commenting on?
Ady is a nice chap who has a life with ups and downs and things he has to and wants to do. We all want Ady to succeed in life in general and in these projects specifically but some of the postees on here act like cult members defending their guru from specks of sand.
Calm down.

As usual, I love it and you.
According to the PT, no one know how to make themselves a Force Ghost until Qui-Gon figured it out after he died (?!), and he taught Yoda who taught Obi-Wan. Which, of course, begs the question on how Anakin himself does it.
Deleted scene? That's a blooper.

Wait a minute, I was confused when I first saw that image. Is it the BD image that has mouthless Han Solo? What source did the despecialized use for that shot? What is its timecode?
I knew the 2004/2011 transfer had issues, but I didn't know DVNR was one of them.
But you know who doesn't care about the EU? My mom, and the millions of other people who want to go see a Star Wars movie and never did and never want to read books to get the full story from a movie series. The ST will be designed to sell tickets, and making sequels to various quality books based on movies is not the way to do that.Darth Lars said:
I think that a decision to rub out the existence of Mara Jade, Jacen, Jaina, Anakin Solo and Ben Skywalker would be a giant middle-finger to the Star Wars fan community.
Outside the little group of "Original Trilogy Only" die-hards on this and other movie-oriented forums, there is a great community of Star Wars fans out there who have embraced the dozens and dozens of books that have been published since the Thrawn Trilogy.
Now I'm eager to hear what you thought it was going to be about.Tobar said:

That was MESSED UP. Not what I thought it was about at all.
