I wish Ady would do RotJ:R first before moving on to the PT. But from the sounds of it, he's going to do RotJ:R and PT:R all at once.

Really, now? Where'd you hear that?
Looks like April 2013. ;-)

In other news, a call for help has been placed:

How long is a "year" in SW?

It you're willing to settle for a formerly-ostensibly-canon-thing-which-is-now-a-completely-non-canon-thing from the EU, then a year in the SW Galaxy is either ten months long or twelve months long (as one would expect from the EU, there's a lack of consistency).

I'm assuming all "years" are based on the Imperial definition of how long a year is, since a year is based on a planet revolving around its star and would depend on the planet assuming it works the same as earthly years. I would imagine there is some sort of official Republic or Empire time-keeping system in place
Coruscant Standard Time, Corellian Adjusted Time, Tattooine Double Time.

Also, for anyone wondering, the producers have said that the first season takes place before the One-Shot. I don't know if that means a theoretical second season would take place after it, or if the series as a whole will take place before, but I'd lean toward the former.
I wondered that myself, but I seem to recall during the Flashback Montage of The First Avenger there was some of the One-Shot in there...

I also love Friday the 13th Part 6: Jason Lives, by far the best directed, written and possibly acted entry in that series. I really like that the filmmakers abandoned the boobs and blood for a moment to actually try to make a great film. How would you guys rank the Friday the 13th films? My ranking looks something like this:

1. Part 6

2. Part 2

3. Part 4

4. Friday the 13th (1980)

5. Freddy vs. Jason

6. Jason goes to Hell

7. Part 5

8. Jason X

9. Part 3

10. Part 7

11. Friday the 13th (2009)

12. Part 8
I've never been a slasher fan, but I did watch the first 8 (so far) Jason movies. I have to say that my ranking pretty much lines up with yours.

Did any of you walk out of the theatre for any of the Star Wars prequels?

I've never walked out of the theater for any film, prequel or otherwise, no matter how bad. Don't get the reasoning behind such a decision.
Because you could probably be doing something better with your time.

Stayed through the prequels, multiple times. My friends and I did have a full-volume conversation about walking out of "Year One" after not even smiling after 20 minutes. We stayed though.

While I have virtually zero interest in anything Harry Potter, I may read the books just to give the finger to my mother who buys into that "Harry Potter promotes satanism/witchcraft" bullshit.
Because nothing promotes witchcraft like made-up latin words being in stories about the power of friendship.

I enjoy both the books and the movies, however I wish I was able to view them as separate entities. I started with just the movies. The first two were cute, but didn't affect me in any way. The third movie I found to be so far beyond that I still place it as one of my favorite films. It was after that point that the films really fell apart to me. Why? Because it was at that point that I started reading the books. I didn't want to, but the future-Mrs. O'Five was such a fan of the books that I knew I had to read them to catch up with her.

This was a mistake.

Every movie after that point, because I knew exactly what was going to happen when, I was tapping my foot waiting for my favorite part of the book to start. And that was the entirety of my enjoyment of them. I didn't find myself bitching about "it wasn't like that in the book", but only because I didn't want to be That Guy. The film twists were lost on me because I knew they were coming now. I wish I had experienced the films as films.

Anyway, it sounds like d_e is coming at it from the right angle, so good on you! The books are like the Extended Edition, they help you understand more about what happened and add some fun side quests.
