Are action figures considered EU? From the first sentence in the second paragraph below (cardback of POTF2 Boba Fett) I was expecting Attack of the Clones to have Jedi fighting a shitload of Mandalorians in Fett-style armour.

It was really only my top two paragraphs that were serious :)

Was Chewbacca the first Wookiee Leia had ever seen? She may have thought he was a normally hairy creature or an abnormally hairy creature. I don't believe it is relevant. It was the venting of negative emotions in a lazy, selfish manner. People who are not racist are still capable of this, and sometimes it manifests in an unintended racial slur.

I don't think oppression needs to exist, laziness and ignorance seem to do a pretty good job. I know people I would consider racist against white Americans because they judge them all to be as stupid and greedy as some of the decisions made by their government. To judge a group negatively based only on a selection of individuals is prejudice, if that group is a race doesn't it become racism?

Also, interpreting this from one side of the camera makes no sense. Especially when it's the wrong side. Inventing real-world issues in a fantasy universe diminishes its intended escapist value. Keeping the discussion within the Star Wars universe rather than also exploring the real-life attitudes and intentions of its creator and the resulting perceptions of its audience diminishes the value of the discussion.

It isn't one of the more popular sports here, especially with people older than me. MJ ruled the game when I was in High School and did a lot for the NBA and the game internationally. Our league is all D and 3 pointers; pretty boring to watch.

I probably followed a bit closer than most guys my age but being born in Iowa I went for the Bulls since I was a kid. I got annoyed in a way when they actually started winning championships; the amount of people who jumped on the Bulls bandwagon and made my 23 jersey look common :(

I know. Turns out they are showing the rest of the Eastern Conference Finals though, so that's something. Regular season they generally show live at about 10:30am and replay at about midnight. If EC Final goes to game 7 I can watch it live at 10:30am or the replay at... 7am the next day. WTF!

I need to bitch about the lack of NBA playoff games on One-HD in Sydney. They show 2-3 live games a week during regular season and then turn cheap come playoff time with 1 a week if you're lucky. Then for the finals I have to go to the pub or shell out for pay tv because they show each game 2 or 3 days late 'cos it costs them less. BASTARDS. I only found out 3-4 days ago that it was conference finals and Boston, LA and San Antonio were all gone. Go Chicago. If the frickin' Miami Heat win the championship I will be pissed.

What are considered the essential OT documentaries and extras, whether fan-made or official releases?

I have only seen  Empire of Dreams + other 2004 material, From Star Wars to Jedi (ages ago) and the Holiday Special :(

I have heard of Jambe's documentaries, Deleted Magic, The Dr. Gonzo Extras and RowMan's discs, but I don't know much more than that they exist. What goodies do these contain and which are the best? Any others I've missed?
