Bump!
The scene in Flash Gordon where they stick their hands inside the log was scary as hell.

Whats the point of keeping old movies around if they dont look good for people anymore???
And old people too, what's the point of keeping them around? They look terrible.
I don't think I am going to bother with the archive idea after seeing how many times it has failed in the past. I think I might just upload a rar file somewhere and give you guys a link when I am done collecting images. Can anyone help me via PM to track down a full set of Ralph McQuarrie concept art?
How about 1200 pixels high at 72dpi? They aren't going to print well, but at least we can have a decent look... Even if I was interested in your prints, I would not make a buying decision based on the low quality images you have shown. Are you able to correct the credits for Empire, or are the posters already printed?
By the way, if anyone wants to make some Olly Moss covers, here is what appear to be lossless png files of Star Wars and Empire. There's a Jedi one of equal size but it's a much crappier looking jpeg unfortunately. On one of them "Kurtz" is spelled "Kurts", which probably means these files got out there before the posters were finalized.
edit - new link that includes Jedi. These are not lossless files it turns out, Man_Overboard has vectorised them.
It's like Bingo is getting holes in his socks and stuffing pat man finger puppets on all the fingers that pop out.
Whoa - already deleted!
Your posters are good, though it doesn't look like you fixed the credits for Empire. The print size seems small for what you are charging; I'm assuming these are unlicensed posters due to the mistakes.
What would endear your work to me and others here, would be for you to give us some lovely high-quality giant-size versions that the cover designers can use for custom sets ;) Or even just some clearer jpegs without a watermark would be great. Think of the free advertising if your posters are the next set of covers for Harmy's Despecialized Editions!
Turns out there was no need to start with season 1 of American Horror Story, as the same actors return in completely different roles for season 2. I found it entertaining, but the ghosts' ability to perform virtually any human act left it feeling more like a weird drama than a ghost story half the time.
Now watching Doctor Who for the first time since the 80s (not counting the new series). Started with Jon Pertwee - my first Doctor, Delgado's Master. I liked Tom Baker too but I'm not sure after that. Davison made me lose all interest but that may have been based purely on his clothes. So uncool.
pat man has been busy counting his teeth.
looky-loo
Tim's thread is really difficult. The Special Editions are missing a lot of stars, aren't they?
Most people seem to enjoy ice cream.
A golden shower? :/
Yep!
Good, but no. He didn't die of thirst or starvation.
This is really difficult.
I miss my Max Headroom t-shirt :(
Started watching American Horror Story as well, but from the beginning. I am pretty forgiving of The Walking Dead series, to me the worst thing about it is waiting so long and getting so few episodes. Glad it's back.
This is another lateral thinking one I remembered, someone should be able to get it without any questions:
A man lies dead in a field. Next to him there is an unopened package. There is no other creature in the field. How was he killed?
The shoes line is particularly good. Whether you count the two dots or the whole face, his "shoes" are black either way as they are in darkness facing the ground.

I was kind of hoping this would be a thread where we all talk about things we all can agree on. Instead, I found it was more about, um...
I don't know really.
Yeah... having trouble thinking of any, though that one is much easier when it's written down. I don't want to look any up yet, I want to keep answering :) Those damn red sheep still escape me.

OH YEAH.
I am the beginning of eternity, the end of time and space
The beginning of every ending and the end of every place
What am I?

A cyclops stares from pale white face
Earrings seven his visage grace
Atop his head are five tattoos
Ebon black his pair of shoes
On his pale back six scars dug deep
He felt no pain and did not weep
His job to tumble, bound and fall
But he's no fool--no not at all
A six-sided die.
^ I had to draw a picture to work that one out. I was thrown by the "face" at first which I thought was supposed to be a zero.
