Mad Max (Avalanche Studios, 2015)

What a fantastic game! Avalanche Studios should be applauded for this, their Magnum Opus. Terrific mix of vehicle and onfoot gameplay. The melee combat leaves a little to be desired but the rest more than makes up for it. The main mission storyline is great. They perfectly captured the brutal and visceral world that Max inhabits. I really hope they’ll make a follow up one day. Definitely recommended.

I am trying to like Mad Max but struggling with it so far. There is so much HUD/objective/status crap on the screen all the time that it is ruining the experience. I found a toggle HUD mod… that no longer works. I’m sure I need to give this more of a chance, but the hand-holding seems ridiculous. Does the car get better handling as you upgrade?

I also played Firewatch based on your recommendation. A bittersweet experience once I found out there aren’t multiple endings. It has some of the best voice acting I have ever heard, yet could have been so much more. Did you replay it for a different conversation?

HI-Res Poster Art
Time

I suspected a reflection. If any of you guys that know your curves and whatnot are willing to take a look at the stuff I posted and correct some of the better examples that are washed out, I’m sure there would be others that would appreciate it besides me. I can give the file names of the ones that would probably benefit most, or post them separately. If anyone has missing or better quality poster images I urge you to share!

BTW, does anyone know who made the textless versions of the Japanese DVD covers?
